hey girlies, i'm wanting to train to be a midwife, saw gp today for more tablets and she said she thinks i'm doing better even if i can't feel it yet, seeing them again in 2 months time. also having my ferritin levels re-checked to see if i need iron tablets to boost it.

most of them are seeds. only the daffodils and hyacinths and 'some flowering thing' are in flower. the rest are still bulbs or seeds coz so much cheaper and i chose all ones that are ready to be sown in april-may so should flower this year.

Hi all,

I'm doing alright...33 weeks now (I think, I'm losing count). Had a lot of stressing with money recently but I'm hoping that's getting all sorted now.

I'm still not very big for how far along I am but I'm getting slowly bigger...I notice it more when I sit on the floor to tie my shoes and can't get back up again!

Baby is very active and hardly ever stops moving....really enjoys kicking me in the ribs :(

Hope everyone is doing well.

Nic.
xx

getting labour started isnt easy...especially before 40 weeks.

i went 15 days over with freyja. i tried everything! the night before i went into labour i had a curry, but i was 12 days over when i went into labour so im sure it was coincidence. what actually set my first contraction off was my aunty touching my bump. as soon as her hand touched me i felt this terrible pain in my back and that was the start of it.

I'm not a mum but I found this for you. Hope they help.

Nipple stimulation
Castor oil
Eating pineapple
Homoeopathy
Blue cohosh and black cohosh
Eating curry
Acupuncture
Walking
Raspberry leaf tea
Blowing up balloons: the theory is that the build up of abdominal pressure encourages labour to start.

stay away from caster oil! it can put your baby into distress. pineapple wont work unless you eat large quantities...and i mean a lot of pineapples.

i recommend walking...it has helped a lot of people i know drop.

i feel for you berni, freyjas tantrums are pretty bad too. and her night terrors are upsetting too, she often whacks her head off the side of the cot while having them.

well done lucie :)

Hey a hot bath to reloax you can help labour start and then my personal trick, stick your feet on the side of the bath to dry your toes - made my waters pop first time round (18 days early) and the 2nd time round, had crispy beef in chilli sauce from the chinese - 5days early, waters popped within an hour of my first show and baby born within 5hrs of show.
