As in what?
Its a 15 min bus ride or a 20 min train ride or a 2 hour walk.
So a super-speed shower should show superfluctous symbols of sexiness?
(I could have written that as 'would be the answer', but I got istracted by wanting to start all non-connectives with the letter 'S'... sorry )

So I'm guessing you're writing about Skinner or Pavlov and the like then Mikeee? Conditioning is a piece of piss.
Yummmm
Well so far i've described Aversion Therapy and Token Economies.... it;s a silly 2-part A-Level question.... Part 1 is a 10-mark 'describe' question, while part 2 is a 'discuss' question....
'discuss issues surrounding the use of behavioural therapies'
I've done part 1, but I'll leave part two for now.... It's due in monday, but i'm busy everyday until then so I wanted to make a start today....
Behavioural therapies...so that would be flooding, systematic desensatization, and maybe CBT?
Come on Mikeeee, clinical psych is nice and eaaasy, you'll feel awesome once it's out of the way.
I don't like the fact that the behaviourists do some pretty nasty experiments on animals.
CBT can be quite a harsh therapy too, I've heard, and puts a lot of blame on the person with the issue. I think that was CBT, anyway.
Yeah, very true. I need to choose the right therapy for me, but obviously you have to pay with most and I really can't afford it.
Sorry to intrude on the thread but I just wanted to say that I haven't found that CBT puts blame on the person. I'm having CBT at the moment and although it's hard work I wouldn't say it was harsh.
Sometimes the way in life seems cloudy...But remember, after the storm comes clear skies
Yeah I don't like the whole animal experiments as well, personally I like the humanostic approach to therapy, though I don't know whether it's the most effective, just the nicest.

I'm not 100% sure that it was CBT that I was thinking of, but thank you for setting me straight =]
The Humanists are good in that way, but they're a bit wishy-washy for my liking. They don't really do a lot, really.
