im glad my art speaks to you even if its hard to put into words. If i didnt do this artwork im scared to think what id be like, sometimes i wish i couldnt do the art and could rip out my stuff and be rid of it instead.
Im one screwed up headcase ,
my assesment with a psychiatrist and not the psychologist went bad, he
was a nice guy, but i dont think he wanted to take on my **** theres so much. He looked like he was distancing himself from my ****, he said oh we can only offer 20 sessions of counselling on NHS.
But looking at you dave you get too traumatised with your stuff so you would need more than 20 sessions, so i cant offer you any counselling and no mention of seing the psychologist. Er what we can offer if they think they can help me is " Art therapy - ive already done 200 pieces of artwork, i still need more help than an art therapist. And er group therapy thats not going to help i need a one to one, i feel too damaged and abandoned.
And that they wont take me on they are just shifting me onto someone else, i saw my dr and shes trying to contact psychiatrist to talk to him. I see the psychiatrist in less than 3 weeks to see if the art therapy/group therapy is worth it.
I got scared and looked on the web and found a drs question and answer forum, someone said, they had a patient just like me who was told they wont be counselled cause they need more than 20 sessions and he got his dr to tell the psychiatrist to see if he could have longer counselling. He was put on another :( waiting list to see psychiatrist again.
I hope i can pursuade my psychiatrist through my dr to accept me for longer counselling, i bet i wont be accepted cause they dont have the funds.
I feel like giving up so much its getting harder im still fighting just dont know how long for.

And it means alot to me that you ask how i am,
I have no one other than my Dr right now until i get a letter for another bloody assesment for art therapy to see if he or she thinks im suitable.
If that doesnt work i have nothing and im scared im not going to last long enough. The psych agrees that if i dont deal with my trauma inside it will do me serious damage, ha ive already been seriously damaged and i think my trauma will end my life if i cant change it.
Im struggling alot right now, im waiting to hear from this art therapist in 2 weeks. I know art therapy is good but i feel like it wont help me enough,i need more help. I feel like the psychiatrist doesnt know what to do with me. He cant or wont get me more than 20 sessions for counselling, he still believes one to one counselling is no good for me.
I feel abandoned and bad for being ill they are just shoving me away from them onto someone else. I need more support than that, i was told group therapy only available in burnley??? too far for me, nothing locally for 12-18 months, psychiatrist even agreed with me that one to one counselling is better than group therapy--this is a crazy world

*Massive hugs* I am sorry that they are not giving you the help you both need and deserve. I hope that at least the art therapy goes ahead for you. I wish there was something I could say to make it better but i Know I can't. All I can say is I am thinking of you and I think you are stronger than what you believe. Hang in there mate.

Thanks for the massive hugs god they help, thanks for understanding to why is it so hard to get the right help. Art therapy is all i have im scared its not gona be enough . Hey kat i know you want to say something to make it better,
