Sometimes I feel like I'm alone, Sometimes I feel like I'm not that strong, Sometimes I feel nothing at all, Sometimes I feel vulnerable, Sometimes I feel a little fragile
I'm sorry it's taken this long to write such a smallrubbishybit of nothing, but I have to post it now as I can't send it home - will try and write more later.
I'm sorry it's taken so long generally too - what with this whole moving to uni thing, i've had very little time to do anything like this... I hope someone somwehere still wants to read it.. Lol.

The girl lay there awaiting, expectant. She could feel the blood moving slower around her body, feel the effort of breathing pressuring her lungs. The compulsory process used to bring air into her body and expel it out once more was tiring. She was tired of it.
Her thoughts were jumbled but her head was clear. She felt every movement her body made; she could feel the breeze as the nurses brushed past, the liquid of the drip moving into her arm. But she could not feel her heartbeat. Her ears heard the beep, her head felt the stop and her whole body moved with the machine as the electricity ran through her body…
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."

As the cold dew of the next morning soaked into her clothes, the girl continued to lay in the same position she had fallen. Her body shook slightly with the shivers of the Winter morning and the feeling of the water seeping slowly but surely through her few layers of clothing. She could see little through the tears the cold breeze caused, but was thankful for these streams of warmth from her eyes, the only warmth she could feel. It was still dark in the graveyard, little sounds of movement around her, and tilting her head slightly to her left she could see only a slice of light from a nearby road, peering out from between the curtains of a second floor window...

She watched the shapes behind the window moving silently behind the light curtains; a group of people, a party. She thought of the last time she could remember having a party, the last time she could remember being able to cope with the pressures of smiling in a pretty dress. She couldn't think of the last time she had slept, without the unconscious thoughts of putting water outside her father's door the next morning...
Her head still groggy she turned and looked up into the darkness. No stars were above her, no daisies below, and as her eyes started swimming once more, her head retraced the footprints in her mind of the image of her mother in her dreams two years ago.. "I love you darling, look after him"...

"Clear."
"..Still no change..."
"Charging 360, clear."
The beep of the girls heartbeat slowly being restored, sent a sounding breath of relief through the onlookers. As they watched, they could see the new distinct rising and falling of her chest and wondered how on earth this girl had come to be here. Wondered what, in that moment, a failing body could be thinking, if she was thinking.
Only few knew the girl's story, all others were blind to the suffering, and purely an aid in the distress of an arresting heart.. but they still wondered.. A doctor made his way to the door of the room, pausing only once to look back at the struggling girl. Making his way out of the room he glanced down to the floor though, and found himself looking into the eyes of a simply scared friend...
