It's just general stuff really, low self-esteem. I'm currently trying to plan my life now. Thinking of spending part of next year in Switzerland or France or somewhere.

Switzerland and, well, everywhere in Western Europe and Scandinavia is so expensive though. Will need to formulate a plan of attack. and save up some more.

Have you looked into maybe short term work placements or something somewhere in Europe? I don't know a lot about it, but I've heard of various organisations or whatever offering placements abroad...

I know bugger all about short term work placements! Well, I know there are a few things where you can work for a few hours a day in return for bed and board, but it's not paid work. I'd probably spend a week or two (or more) in the one place and try to see the local area. I want somewhere quiet and peaceful and relaxing, hence Switzerland or possible the French Alps. Plus, it'd give me an opportunity to learn me some French.

I guess if you want to spend a longer period of time in one place, then finding out about placements and stuff would be worth it, but if you want to travel then there's no point in restricting yourself to one place...

Yep, and the thing with proper work or placements is that I wouldn't have accommodation paid for, so that'd be an expense. It's so confusing really. I'm not really the adventurous type!
