Hi everyone, I don't know what to say really. I'm still worrying over my finances and I shouldn't really be posting here coz its all my own fault. I'm not asking for sympathy just advice I guess so that I do not get into the same mess again by not managing my money. Does anyone have any tips for budgeting pls? Its just like when I see something I want i simply HAVE to buy it and end up regretting it later.
what I try to do is take the money out I need for the week then leave my cards at home, that way I can't buy extra stuff and can only spend what I have for the week.
I know the feeling though, I'm a bit of an impulsulse buyer, especially when I'm depressed.
*hugs*

ty hun. Will try leaving the card at home altho my main problem is buying things online. I get offers sent to me in email and they are for a limited time which makes the impulsion more intense. I think the simple answer would be for me to unsubscribe to the emails. Seems a shame as some of the deals are pretty good. Still i guess I survived alright before signing up to these emails....*SIGH*
RoBoTiC-BaRbIe Im really sorry. I have been back stabed so many times from therapist its not fun. Im sorry they hurt you. Be cautious therapist will hurt you when you least expect it.
Fuzzy yeah I have a little shopping addiction too its hard and makes me mad too that Im spending all this money. I know I shouldnt but I do. Since I have ran out of money I have to stop until I get paid. I think I shop because Im bored and depressed }: I bought a lot one time online
on amazon my best advice is dont even go on those websites or just browse really fast for 10 min tops thats it and tell yourself okay I like that but I dont really need it that will help.
Recently what has helped me not spend as much is go online to the website i want to get something from in the store. Make a list that way when I go to the store I only get the items on the list nothing else. and remind myself not to look at anything else in the store just get the items on the list and leave.
Welldone for talking to your GP about the issue Oliver. Hopefully by your mum making a complaint to the CMHT will help your process and you will get the care you need. I thought generally CMHTs work with people with personality disorders as they are generally more at risk to themselves then other people? And often need more long lasting support. I keep getting told by my team that they aren't going to discharge me even when I'm doing alot better as they know it can suddenly spiral out of control.
Fuzzy- I think with certain banks you can put a limit on where you can't spend over a certain amount in one day. With Lloyds they won't let me spend more than £300 a day unless I have told them beforehand I will be buying x,y, and z so it will be over my limit and they will take it off for the day! Maybe you could check with your bank?
How are you doing Kat?
Mark have you spoken to anyone regarding your ESA questionnaire? Of your struggling filling it in and your support worker is out of town (I think you said) could you visit the CAB to see if they can help?
How are you feeling today Colour? Has your anxiety subsided at all?
Barbie- was it a safety issue? Could they have been very worried about you and thought you need more help at the moment?
*hugs Amy*- how are you today lovely?

*curls up* :( my mental health worker went behind my back and told people something personal she said she wouldn't
I'm so sorry, Barbie...That same thing happened to me last week. I'm never going to trust her again. :( I know how that feels, but hopefully you will feel better soon. It's not your fault she is a horrible person. *hugs*
Mark*hugs*, as far as I know impulsivity itself is a part of BPD..It can be impulsive buying, binging, drinking too much, being reckless about anything..I think it's part of the criteria for being diagnosed with BPD. I know I'm quite impulsive and do a lot of things like buying cigarettes or food and if I had money right now, I'd go to the mall and buy all the clothes I like.
Fuzzy, I think that both Tinkles, Lauri and Oliver gave you great advice. If the bank you have an account at won't be able to do that for you, then I think that leaving your cards at home and also making lists with what you really need(and maybe a list with what you want, but don't necessarily need and sum up the prices and see how much it would cost you..) would be a great way not to spend too much :)
Good luck.
So I got into the trial after all. I got randomised to the therapy option. And then they realised the group therapy is during my work hours and so they're not sure what to do and I might not get treated after all...
She said they'd do everything they could to work something out for me, as i'd been entered and randomised before they realised i'd changed jobs. So even if i only do the individual therapy, they are hoping to get me in for something.
Yeah thats what sucks about out patient which is group therapy its during work hours.
Im okay Its been hard and I have been depressed more lately been off my meds for 2 months now because I dont need them I dont need to be on them. I really miss my therapist and wish she didnt give up on me leave me soob it really hurts and I keep doing things I shouldnt do because of my obsesion with her with wanting her back that get me in toruble }: I cant control it sometimes its very hard I jsut want it to stop. I wish I was dead I wish i could kill myself whats the point in living its pointless why live in this painful world when I could be in heaven with no pain.
ty for all your advice guys. I get paid on wed and going to try use cash more rather than my card which I'm going to leave at home. Other than getting my hair done at the hairdressers I'm not going to have any big splurges. The hair was planned (i made the appointment last week) so I guess its not impulsive. I'm gunna take my money out of the cash machine to last me the 2 weeks (i get paid fortnightly) and put it in envelopes for each categories such as food, gas and leccy.
*hugs mark* - I think being impulsive is a symptom for BPD. How are you today?
Lucy- how are you coping love? When do you see the psych?
I'm doing absolutely awful. HTT said during the day when I was struggling on the phone that they can't help me as they can't give me any medication to calm me down or anything (until my blood work come back after the big OD). They even said don't come A&E yet either as no one can do anything. In the evening my bf was very worried and there's only so much he can do to make sure I'm safe. He insisted to take me A&E (he took away everything I had and never let me out of his site). But I said refused. He rang HTT and a **** answered and made things worse. I have a really big HTT doctor meeting today as my blood work will be back and they will decide whether my liver can cope with medication yet or what to do now. So I'm really scared and worried.
Colour- that's really bloody annoying. Isn't there anyway they can make an exception for you and do it when your not working? But I'm glad they are doing there best to help work around you schedule. How are you doing otherwise?
Fuzzy- that's a really good idea. Maybe by budgeting and having money in envelopes you can maybe keep it more under control? What are you getting done to your hair?
How is everyone else? X

Tinkles I am sorry your finding things so difficult. Hopefully your bloods come back okay. Here if you ever need anything. Thinking of you
How are you Mark?
How are you doing Lucky?
Colour that's great news I hope they can fit you in
Lauri I am sorry your finding thing so hard, does anyone know what your going through? It must be hard not to see your therapist anymore
Fuzzy sounds like a good plan
Found out today my spectrum worker is leaving, they want to transfer me to a male worker though. I told them I don't feel comfortable around males. They are going to bring it up with the other staff but they don't know if another female is available. Dreading it
