Is L quite good for knowing your needs and helping you to express them?

That's good. I hope she's able to come then.

I had ward rounds, L did come. We said i was doing better and L warned them not to get excited because this could fluctuate. We're going to look at discharge next week. I will have the pleasure of the Crisis Team for a few days. I reminded him about the anxiety medication and I think he has written it up this time.

It was quite embarrassing explaining to a room of 10 people that my period solves my constipation problem every month! I don't even know if that's a thing or just me???

Are you ok with possible discharge next week? I'm glad L was able to come and they have sorted your anxiety meds.

I don't have constipation but I think I read that periods make you poo because lots of things contract. Sorry you felt embarrassed having to say that to a room full of people.

I am currently:

I'm glad they are at least giving you the crisis team when you're discharged. Maybe they could talk through options of ongoing support in the community with you?

I was actually reading about something similar this morning - when the womb lining sheds it releases a hormone that causes muscle contractions and it's not uncommon for that to cause painful "butt cramps" (as this article called them), so it seems logical that it would also cause any trapped waste to get loosened up so to speak!

No other sadness in the world would do

I think I'm ok with discharge next week, as long as things don't dip this week.

Thanks for the period info!

Fingers crossed you have a good week and a successful discharge with good support in the community. Remember to still talk to the staff if you need to.

I feel like I'm on a tightrope and any day I could slip into the flying and voices etc again.

I can understand that feeling and it's really scary and unsettling. It's so hard even when you're doing ok not to worry about things getting difficult again. Do you think that things are better in this moment? Try and focus on the present as much as you can. You've had med changes and will have some support when you're discharged and hopefully that will be helpful. Do you think there's anything else you need or something that you could do for yourself?

I keep reminding myself that there are more important things in life than flying - like staying out of hospital and not stressing out my family!

Those are definitely important things. Keep them in mind, maybe you could even think of more and make a list of nice things that you would much rather do. I hope your discharge goes smoothly and you settle in well at home with some good support. Are you feeling ok tonight or a bit impatient to get home? I know I feel like time goes more slowly and annoyingly when I get close to discharge. I hope you are managing to occupy yourself.
