A nurse has asked me not to ask them for help with my therapy skills because they don't feel confident helping. Which is a shame because she was really helpful, it was her who led me to the decision to stay safe on the ward until ward rounds.
Edit:
Sorry, there's no real answer to this, is there?
I found something and used it as a poor implement. Now there's this big secret but I can't surrender it which I'll have to if I tell ANYONE. I can't have my cake and eat it. I have taken some PRN to calm down. Some might say I should have had the PRN first and I could've. I kept telling myself, "you don't have to do this" but somehow I ended up doing it.
Should I tell the psych in ward rounds next week? They're only scratches, max.

Sorry this has happened. If you're going to mention it in your ward round why don't you just try and mention it now or before then? You need to be safe. It's a shame they don't feel able to help you with therapy skills, did you say that they DO help?
I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

It seems reasonable to me that staff should be trying to help you with your skills if you get stuck and can't phone someone. Even if they think they can't be of much help you are saying that they do help. Maybe it feels to them like it's not their role or something and they feel out of their depth because they don't know much about those therapy skills. Keep doing what you're doing. Are staff helpful in other ways?

I understand. Sometimes when I've been in hospital I've written something down like 'can I talk to someone please' and then just showed it to someone if you think that might be an easier way to ask? It's much better to be brave and see if you can talk to someone than leave it and end up struggling and things potentially getting out of hand. Of course it's still important to use your skills etc when you are able to do so on your own.
