Are you enjoying college love?

I'm good, just soooooo relieved that Mum's scan results were normal.
I don't know why I'm up at this ridiculous hour, but I've been awake since like 1am and I just can't sleep. So I'm drinking loads of tea && chilling with good music.

What time is it there?

Sorry, fell asleep.

Yeah, I really like my courses and my professors a lot, even though it's a ridiculous amount of HW >.>

It's 6:21am here now, I *should* be getting ready to leave for school in like twenty minutes. Have to get there early, blahh. Math first thing in the morning..woo?

Ouch! Maths is not good at any time of the day, never mind first thing!

I was up at university today to see my old supervisor. Freshers everywhere. Had to fight my way through them at one point.

Yer pretty amazing yourself too Jess!

Yeah, Claire- math first thing in the morning is terrible. But my professor is really funny, so it kind of makes up for it. Hmm. I have a test coming up on Wednesday for it :(

I remember 9am lectures well. I don't think any amount of comedy could make up for needing to get up just after 6am. I'm not very good at university-level maths. Geography, sociology, etc, would be fine but not maths.

Mine starts at 8am :)

Yeah..this is my pre-req math, which is basically just a beginners course in algebra. Pain in the ass, but not to hard.

Yeah, American colleges seem to start earlier and finish later than over here. 9am is the earliest and usually everyone will be finished by 6.30pm, unless it is a specific evening class.

It depends, they have classes all different times.

Like, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I start at 8am. I have 3 consecutive classes in a row and then I'm done by 12:30.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I don't start until 9:30am. I have one class, an hour and a half long break, and then another class. I get done at around 2-ish. But everybody's are different.

I hated consecutive classes. Probably because I was expected to get from one side of campus to the other in around three minutes. It's not a huge campus, but it was impossible. I would always be late. Thankfully I was able to change my class to a later one.

We have a huge campus, so I get around 10 minutes between campus. There's like..5 or 6 buildings, all spread apart, and each one with more than one floor >.>

Yeah, at least, the ones I've been in. There might be more. They're really spread out from each other, and each one is pretty big.

And there's all the dorms as well. But each building has a bunch of different things in it. Not specific buildings for specific majors or anything like that.

Yeah, if my school did that,, there would be like,, 40 plus buildings (they offer a lot of degrees). It's a really nice school though.

I always like the look of American colleges, always seem to much nicer than over here. Although I guess that depends on where you are really.

We don't really major over here, but my degree is in geography. Human geography mainly, so like sociology and the like, with only a little bit of earthquakes, rivers etc.

Scotland works slightly differently to everywhere else because we like to confuse. We do three subjects in first and second year and then one in third and fourth year, or two if you are doing joint honours. Make sense? Probably not. Everywhere else in the UK you pretty much just do one subject for three years, rather than four.

I'm sure I've asked this recently, but I can't remember, what are you doing again?
