I'm going to try for another baby after we move house (hopefully end of July). I don't fancy moving house with morning sickness, that's why we're waiting.
£5????? i got about £60 a week.... go on the tax credits calculator... or ring them and ask them to check, or again citizens advice might be able to help.
as long as your income is under £16,000 a year, you work more than 16hrs a week and you're over a certain age (or have a child), then you're entitled to working tax credit, i was part time so got a lower rate, i believe the full time rate is about £80 a week, mand x

But Mand, it depends on how much you're earning, your income doesn't have to under £16,000 - it can be a lot higher then that! So Stace's bloke could be earning a fair wage, which is why it's low.
I get rather a lot working/child tax credit, because i'm a single parent and they pay 80% of my childcare fee's so i get like £100 a week.

whatever face you believe a person wants to see rather than your own
£5 is the working tax element of it. i get about £60 a week in total, once my child tax comes into it. but jamie earns just over £16k i think, which is why its not a whole lot of working tax.

a lot of my friends dont get any working tax because their partner and their maternity pay combined is over £16,000.
i was getting about £130 a week with both elements. it drops after a year because you get paid more child tax for the first year.
chloe did her first mouth-to-mouth "mwah" kiss today - ie not all open mouthed dribbles! she's been perfecting the 'air kiss' just sucking her lips to make the noise when you ask, and occasionaly will give your a slobber kiss, but today when i asked for a kiss she climbed over daddy and gave me a proper kiss. she knew she did good coz she clapped.
i've also found when she's trying to tell me something, if i guess what it is, she lets me know when i'm right by smiling and clapping and when it get the whole thing right then she gets really excited, clapping doing her nose snorty excited noise and jumping about. why talk when you don't have to eh?

today she put my straw into my coke from macdonalds... no help (apart from removing the wrapper first). to my knowledge i've never shown her how to do it.
she was getting me to do her jigsaw today. she passed me the dinosaurs, then pointed to where they go, so i put them in upside down, she took them off me, turned the round then pointed again. i swear she's copying what i did to teach her - rather than to get the jigsaw done. i don't think she gets that she is supposed to do it.... i think she thinks that it is a game for 2 people to play! she also signed 'milk' today for the first time, we've only had one full signing class!
i thought i was miscarrying last night. i had a bad stomach and i was thinking 'help, don't let it be food poisoning' because i'm not as careful as a pregnant woman should be when picking what to eat. I was sat there on the bog when i had *the* worst cramp in my life!
it was right across my stomach, it made me sick, it lasted about a minute, made my top lip and brow go sweaty, made me cold all over... i was shaking and gripping the radiator and sink so hard.... then it went and i was like 'please let it be coz i'm ill'... a few mins later i had another one and i was so scared. then it went away and didn't come back.
i'm hoping it was coz i had a bad belly and that it wasn't any kind of contraction. i dont really know the full force of a contraction, the first one i had with chloe, i already had the gas and air to help.

we don't have any walk in centres. the 'emergency' pregnancy place, you have to see a gp, be referred and then wait for an appointment. it's at least 2 days in advance, they only do monday-to-friday and when i had to go at 8 weeks it took over a week for my appointment and the GP rang instead of referred me and got me the next appointment available!
i'm gonna get matt to ge our doppler out to see how squirmi is doing, i haven't had any bad feelings today, think i'm starting to feel movements... not sure until i feel an actual kick. i'm seeing midwife on tuesday for m quad-screen. mand x

I will look for my camera and get some recent pics up. I can not believe all our babies are growing up so fast. cant wait to hear what mandis having and if miss sam is expecting.
come cry on my shoulder, I will hold you till its over !!!
Hope all goes ok for you on Tuesday Mandy and apologies for not knowing how these pregnancy services work! Hope all the mum's and babbies and mums to be are doing well :)
i just wish there was a walk in place. even if you go to a&e with a suspected miscarriage all they can do is book you an appointment in x amount of days with these people. during later stages they ccan sometimes stop a miscarriage, but you don't stand a chance if you live in my area as by the tim you see the people it's too late.

There is a sickness/diarrhea bug going around everywhere at the moment - is it possible you've picked this up somehow? (Bugs fly around so easily). I had it without the sickness but my mother had both.
I'm sure everything is OK, if it happens again your best bet is to go straight to hospital.

yeah i also remember having something similar happen mand, except i was nearer the end of my pregnancy (and nowhere near labour) and i was over taken by this intense cramp which resulted in me gripping the sink and crying i was very frightened i thought i was in labour - and far too early. i was terrified but nothing came of it. i hope your alright x

unfortunatley unless i go to cardiff and i don't know where (there's 2 hospitals in cardiff) the gwent is my only option.
there are so called 'field' or 'cottage' hospitals about, but they don't have a&e or anything like that, they run clinics for like physio and can do x-rays if a GP refers you. for anything else you have to travel to the one where i live.

oh i forgot, earlier i had some mucous (which is usual for me in both pregnancies) and it was about the size of a 5p and had some blood streaked in it. i'm seeing midwife on tuesdsay, and we listened to baby's heartbeat on our doppler and it was going at the right sort of speed (double mine) so do you think it's ok to wait?
