me too... just the whole 'what if he slips' lol.

welcome back stace!

Sam, you can get tests that tell you from the day your period is due if you're pregnant or not. so i'd say you're safe to test now. some pound shops sell them or if not i've found asda's own brand to be the cheapest. failing that take a sample to the dr's and they'll test ans can refer you to midwives etc at the same time. with the 2nd one i worked out that the first test we took i was literally only just pregnant (according to my scan dates, my periods are unreliable). I had symptoms on the first day! they were queasyness, feeling hot and thirsty and needing to pee a lot.

similar to UTI symptoms. mand x

hmmm i'm not really having any symptoms, i did feel nauseous last week when i got up each morning but it never lasted more than an hour. my period was due weekend just gone and i got cramps and felt tired and moody as normal and i was bloated but that all came and went with no period! i can usually time my period down to the hour so this is a bit unusual for me but i'm also mega stressed with work so that could have caused it i suppose.

i came off the pill around 7 months ago now, we did say if i fell pregnant that would be fine but we weren't trying really. i had wanted to come off my pill anyway as had been on 9 years and was advised it wasnt great for me to be on so long.

come to think of it i still have crampy pains and an upset stomach. but no symptoms that i can say for sure about.

if i am then it can wait another few days as i will probably test at weekend if no period by then!

Something Special.

the crampy pains can be the start of it, and you may get a bit of spotting it could be a late implantation, usually it would be in the 2 weeks before your period, but it's entirely possible to fall pregnant even after your period has started. here's hoping you find out for sure one way or the other!

i keep forgetting to tell you chloe's new trick...
my mum plays DS... like a lot. chloe pinches the stylus to scribble on the screens, well she has learnt to close the lid and put the stylus into the little hole all by herself - even i struggle to do it sometimes! and she can plug it in and take it off charge by herself sometimes - she even beat my mum's best score at germbuster the otherday (not entirely sure she grasped any concept of the game... but was fun to watch!)

anybody else desperate for another? i am so skint, i can barely feed myself at the moment, i have PND, im trying to get out of my lease because i am so unhappy in my flat and i believe its making freyja ill....yet despite all of this i cant stop thinking about having another baby. i didnt realise until the other day that i wanted one so much. i keep having pregnancy scares, i keep taking tests, i keep dreaming about positive tests, pregnancy and having a baby. and when i realise im not pregnant through negative tests or waking up and realising its a dream i feel destroyed.

its so stupid. its the WROOOONG time for a baby.

Right peeps - got something to offer if any of you are interested.

My ex brought 10 pregnancy tests from ebay (all ledgit - proper NHS HCG tests from a website called Home Health UK) and i've only used 2. I know i won't be using them before there sell by date (6/2010) - so is anyone interested in them?

Whether you're wanting to TTC anytime soon or just want them for "scares" - you're welcome to them. It seems a waste in me throwing them away when they're perfectly good to use. They're all in sealed individual packets, all you'd need to pay for is the postage so i can send them - i don't want anything for them.

Let me know! :) X

I want one too, have done practically since Lucas was born. And Mike told me the other day that he's happy to try for another in August, which made me happy!

It's not really great timing since I've just been put on Fluoxetine, but I'm hoping that I'll only be on them for a couple of months and then we can start trying.

those tests are good value!
i keep waking up thinking Chloe was a dream and having to go check her room to make sure she's real! From not being able to have kids, to expecting the 2nd in 18 months... very surreal.

stace, have you looked into the healthy start vouchers? I get 1 a week for Chloe, and 1 a week for me (coz I'm pregnant), they're worth £3.10 a week and can be spent on milk, fruit/veg and infant formula (only ones suitable from birth). Go to citizen's advice about the flat and they can run a benefit check to see if you're entitled to anything else.

Also, did you work before having freyja? I got a nice surprise a month after giving in my notice, £660 in holiday pay, from the holiday days i'd accrued during maternity leave and what i hadn't used before I left (even though I was sure I'd used it all.... I'm not complaining lol!). Love n cuddles to all, mand x

I phoned work the other day to see about going back, I have a meeting with my boss on the 18th of may, I'm thinking of going back the last day I can (a week after adela's birthday but then it's my sister's wedding a week after that and knowing my work I can imagine them not giving me holiday if i've not earnt it.

I have to do jury service in June, bit scared about that but my mum says she will come and look after adela, it might be good practice for when I'm back at work and have to leave adela.

Also got to have my wisdom tooth out on wed, opted for not being made sleepy because I have noone that can escort me home, so I'm terrified, but dertimined to go through with it as I was at the hospital for six hours alone with a grouchy baby yesturday, waiting to make the appointment it wasnt till adela was screaming that the receptionist went and asked if I could be moved up the list. At least erne can stay at home with her when I go for the extraction!

you are entitled to it even if you leave work. also if you leave work your working tax credit will stop and you'll get your vouchers. but working tax credit is more than the vouchers will be, but you can't fritter it away on buggies :P

i believe its actually jamie working that brings in the working tax part. not that we get much anyway, only about £5 a week.
