the clarks we would go to is located inside a huge mothercare so they only really do kids feet. they also stock startrite shoes so don't know if they do any others like pedipeds. i wouldnt know anywhere else to go to get her fitted around here. i've been with her a few times to get her feet measured whilst we've been there for other stuff, i'll look into the other brands. mand x

I have to agree on Clarks. I'd never take Esmé back there, due to the fact the lady tried to sell us shoes that didn't fit Esmé properly. We have a shop called Just-Kids shoes or something near where i work, which is rather good, Esmé shoes are start-right, they're the only shoes that would fit her feet!

i've found a place that does pedipeds it's actually on the same road as the mothercare/clarks/elc but a bit further down, it's called 'the little shop'.

so will be trying there tomorrow.

Wow, I wish there was a shop by us that sold pedipeds (or any of the shoes I like for that matter) - I have to buy them online. Let me know how much they cost on average Mand, just out of interest :)

i think the nearest stores to you would be 2 in chester or one in warrington (im going from where my gran lives in pensby!)

maybe worth a daytrip to chester? you could go to ellesmere port (shopping centre) and pop into one of the shops whilst there?

Hi girls,

It's been a while. Just caught up on all the pages i've missed!

I've been in that situation Stace - where i've thought i'm pregnant, and came on hours after taking a test! I was more pissed i'd wasted the bloody money! lmao!
Atleast you can feel more relaxed now. I LOVE Freyja's hair like that! Aww! She's gorgeous - i can't believe how big she is now!

Have you got your scan soon Mand? Atleast you're over the first "hill", so to speak! Onto the second trimenster :)

One of my close friends just had a baby boy - just over 9lbs, she was definatly all baby! Makes me all broody.

Happy Belated Mothers Day to you all :)
Take care
Laura xx

purple hair is good! i used to dye mine pink a lot.

i was pissed about the waste of money too!! at least i got a twin pack though, so there is one stored away just in case i have a scare again.

i know freyja is getting so big so fast and beginning to say a few words. she said 'Freyja' clear as a bell the other day. she now say ta ta when she waves goodbye
and she had her first kiss yesterday pmsl from a little boy who looked a few months older. it was in the doctors waiting room and they were all playing together. i just hope the little boy wasnt unwell!!! but the whole family was there with him and he was all smiles with no sign of illness so fingers crossed. it was so cute though and the whole waiting room started laughing, he just came up to her and put his hands round her waist then gave her a big kiss right on the lips lol.

well guys, you might not be seeing me again for a couple of weeks! i am going to america to see my dad. freyja and jamie are coming too, im excited but scared too as i hate airports and travelling!

have fun while im away!

Have a good time in America stace! I hope the traveling isn't as bad as you fear, I know for me it wasn't.

I don't know what to do about going back to work, I've gone off the idea of childminding, but need to earn some money somehow. My job is shifts and if Erne changes his hours we'd be able to look after adela around work apart from a few evenings when I'd have to get babysitters to put her to bed.
The job doesn't offer part time and I need to call to find out when's he latest I can go back.

Has anyone joined the ELC big birthday club? Or know of any 20% off discount codes for ELC? I want to buy pretty much everything in there for Lucas's birthday (which isn't until June), but I'm excited and want to start buying now!

lol! i pegward!
I did my hair pink a while back, it was supposed to be a dark purple, but more a dark red with purple tint. It maybe because i had a rusty colour underneath, or coz im pregnant. last time i dyed my hair blonde it went ginger coz the pregnancy brings out the red pigments in my hair.

chloe has had a few amorous moments, the lads in creche practically maul her for cuddles and kisses lol!

she likes to say car and point out the window, and will say manma manma manma and point at my mum. she's trying to learn grandad. she says grrrrrrr dadadadad.

take lots of little snacks for her, biscuits etc to keep her energy up. it helps sometimes for them to eat little and often when travelling no sickness that way.

i've been in tears tonight. chloe cried herself to sleep again. something is wrong. she shouldnt be in that much pain because of wind. it's not normal surely for a baby to fart/poo all day with hardly a sniffle (she's done 3 nappies today so something's up and she cried a little, but normally no probs) and then to scream colic style all night because of wind?

gripe water doesn't do anything. if she's really tired she doesnt seem to have the energy to kick, if she's more awake her knees go up and down really fast. her belly is rock hard. i feel guilty for not pushing for answers. if i'd pushed when she was little we might know the cause and how to stop it.

it's getting to be more than once a night now. sometimes takes a botte of milk to settle her afterwards.
help.

Poor Chloe and poor you! It's horrible to see them in pain, i'd say if her belly's hard you should take her to the drs and try again to get some answers. Have you tried ruling out any intolerances?

we thought it could be bread....but then it carried on and stopped doing it with bread... all i can think is its some kind of additive/preservative that is in sma milk and some of her baby food, she was exactly like this until we switched milk... although she's always had the odd spat of it.

im scared they'll say it's related to teething and to come back when she's 2!

I think you should go back anyway mand and tell them that her tummy is hard and that you don't think it's connected to teething. If they send you away, at least you have tried. There are always other Drs if you are not satisfied with how you (or chloe) is treated!

Berni, I totally understand how you feel, it is for the best though if you know you're not ready for another!

I'm pleased because Adela went to sleep in her cot without so much of a fight last night, I was worried because I thought that she was getting used to falling asleep in bed with me.

something me and mum were debating about the other day in our random conversations

my mum and dad have always insisted their bedroom is private and out of bounds and they belived that putting me in my own room from the word dot and keeping me there for feeds encouraged this.
I never used to go in her room unless i asked permission oh and story time when my brother came along.

Also i'm not into babies sleeping in parents bed. This could encourage the child in later years that she/he can sleep in there parents bed if they don't want to sleep in theirs.

so what is your thoughts about keeping your baby in their own room from day one?

and also do you think a baby should be sleeping in the same bed as you?
