I'm feeling very tired today as well French. Had to get up early because I'm at work. Allotment sounds fun though. What stuff you growing? We got a big garden out the back at work and it's got loads of veg in it. I've never grown veg before and I was amazed at the stuff we grew from a tiny little seed! And how loads of plants work the same way, with the vegetable coming out of the flower. Amazing. Fresh air is good for you as well :)
when's your appointment colour? I have an appointment with a consultant spinal surgeon on 14th because I might have to have surgery on my spine, so I think I can empathise with you :(
Hey remote, im doing ok at the moment, got a doctors appointment in an hour so i can get meds which will hopefully prevent a repeat of last night. How are you?
I cant garden to save my life, I even managed to let a cactus die:s
when I was really young I picked up a cactus with my bare hands, biggest mistake ever, had loads of spikes in my hand and it hurt for quite a few days.
I've just had a shower, which may not seem like much, but when I get really depressed my personal hygiene goes really downhill and I havn't had a shower in 3 weeks, so it's a pretty big deal for me.
going to watch an episode of torchwood then go out to the pharmacy, uni to pick up a letter and bank to sort my account out.

The doctor wont give me medication he reffered me to a psyce instead. Whats the point of that a psyche takes months. I need help now! he gave me the crisis teams number to tho, maybe thats a route i should go down next time im suicidal?
Angel - I definitely think next time you are feeling suicidal you should try the number for the crisis team. It might really benefit you. GP's are often quite reluctant to prescribe psychiatric medication, especially if it's not an "easy" diagnosis so to speak. You might have to wait to see the psych but equally, you might not have too because they will need to assess you quite quickly.
I dunno, my main problem is that I get suicidal mostly at night time im quite stable during the day, seroquel use to make me so tired at night that i just went to sleep meaning i missed out the bad night times. I guess i just wanted something like that.
It's understandable that you wanted medication to aid you with your sleep, especially when night times are so bad. I'm guessing though for a GP it is difficult to know what to prescribe somebody when it's psychiatric care they need. Seroquel as I'm sure you know is a really strong drug and it shouldn't be given by a GP unless they've been told by the psych.
Do the crisis team work at night in your area?
Otherwise, an option might be go to A&E one night when you are having the suicidal thoughts. As that way they see you when the problem is presenting and might be able to help more as they will get a true picture.
Even some Psychs are reluctant to give sleeping meds to ease the suicidal thoughts as you apparently become 'dependant' on that and dont learn a new coping mechanism to prevent you from harming yourself if in future you run out of the sleeping pills.
However depending on your severity Angel your GP would tell your local CMHT how urgen it is for them to see you. When I was getting referred the first time to the CMHT of suicidal thoughts and stuff they saw me within a week and then changed the medication i was already on.
If you are with the Crisis team and like Tig said and they run 24/7 give them a call and they might be able to help and distract you and maybe even say come over and see them and give you something to ease you agitation... I know its scary as you might think oh if i call them and im this suicidal they will make me IP - thats the last thing they want to do.
Hope it works out x

I don't know if I've ever met a crisis team , tbh the only time I hear them mentioned is here , I've met Social workers , Cpn, Psych Dr , Psych nurses , is that what a crisis team is?

A crisis team is made up of different mental health professionals, so it includes psychs, OT's, nurses and social workers. But basically they work with someone for a short period of time during a period of crisis. When I've seen them it's usually when I'm very sucidal, or experiencing intense paranoia and they would come to my flat, or I would go to them every other day. so they see you quite often, it could be everyday if you want, but only over a short period of time, it's usually been a few weeks to a month for me.
I personally don't like the crisis team in my area and I've seen them about 6 different times and I now refuse to be referred to them.
Hope that explains it Mark.
I hope you get seen quickly angel, I know it's really hard waiting when you are so low.
how are you Mark, Tinkles and Tig?
