grace, i sometimes worry about how fast the time is passing as it does only seem like yesterday i found out i was expecting, or that i gave birth to freyja. shes now fast approaching her first birthday and i know the next ones are going to come just as fast!
i definately will treasure these times!

lol Madeleine is two on 28th April! I can't believe that!

We're going on holiday to Spain early April (she'll still be under 2 so she's cheap to fly!). It'll be her first holiday abroad, first aeroplane etc. Any tips? The flight is two hours and we're travelling at 5.15pm. So part of the time she could be eating her dinner. Does anyone know if I'm allowed to take food onto the aeroplane? (a pot of pasta or something, maybe a sandwich).

We're actually seriously thinking of buying a portable DVD player (one that also goes in the car for long trips) and putting Iggle Piggle on while we're flying.

We plan to travel light - 20 euros per bag! So we're going to take only a few nappies and things and buy more when we're there.

I have no tips, but let me know how it goes! I'm thinking of taking Lucas somewhere like Spain next May for my 21st. He'll be 23 months. But now I'm not sure. I want to be trying for another baby by then....if the boyfriend will let me!

OMG Stace 10 hours?! um... good luck to you! Hopefully Freyja will sleep for some of it! Are you going to do it at night? That might be a good idea.

Ashleigh I'll let you know how it goes - Lucas will be the exact same age Madeleine will be! Good age to fly - under 2s are cheap!

nope...its very early morning. so she might sleep anyway as she will be quite tired being woken in the middle of the night. on the way back it will be night so she will sleep.

keep trying with the trainer teat, he'll get the hang of it eventually. Is it a free flowing one? They're easier to get the hang of because the juice/water just flows out when it's tipped. Also they're better for their teeth/mouth development.

you can tell because the juice will come out if you turn it upside down.

Tommy Tippee do a good beaker, it's really cheap too. They used to sell them for under a pound in Sainsburys but I think they've got up a bit now.

ta berni :)

is that the tommee tippee first cup helena? freyja has a few but doesnt use em so much, though i know others who swear by em

well done to kyle for drinking juice! the ONLY thing i can get freyja to drink other than milk is robinsons strawberry and kiwi fruit and barley water. i try to limit her intake of it, but if i give her anything else she spits it back out. i have been trying for months and months with no luck.

no idea lolly i have never experienced the joys, not yet anyway. im sure it will come when freyja starts nursery/school

Ah, we've just had them go round our nursery, well pre-school, so my end.
Tie your hair back, don't get too close to the children, don't put anything on your head that a child may have put on theres....other then that, there's not a lot else you can do. Hopefully you wont get it! tbh, i've not had it once since doing placements and working in a nursery!

tommee tippee first cup is great. That was the only beaker i could get Esmé to drink from, to start with. Just keep trying with it especially at meal times, they'll get it eventually.

apparently they dont like tea tree.. you can buy shampoos and conditioners that leave the scent specifically to deter nits.

chloe's in 9-12 clothes! at 50weeks old lol! the waists are too big and the arms and legs drown her, but her 6-9 stuff was giving her wedgies!

we went the the park every day since sunday - instead of staying in all day everyday. chloe likes the swings. there was a cat there yesterday. matt was teasing chloe - she was in the swing and he had the cat tickling her feet with his tail. Chloe was so exctied! she went ca-ca-ca! no idea if she was trying to say cat... but she was waving at it whenever it went away.

her other new noise is ga-ga-ga - possibly trying to say grandad? she says manma for grandma. anyway gotta go, she's coming to get me. mand x

headlice don't like conditioner. A combination of conditioner every day, and the nit comb worked well when Madeleine had them. The stuff I got from the doctor did nothing!

I'm getting my implant out today, and I'm scared

I'm back from Cuba! We had a wicked time, of course all erne's family were crazy about Adela and she took to them fussing too, so I did get a bit of a break. She was fine on the 9 hours flights and 16hr bus rides, just loved grinning at all the other passengers.

I never got it out - the doctor called in sick. I have a new date, at the end of April. Grrr

I'm totally sick of this, I've been bleeding since July. I've tried several types tablets to stop it and it seems the only solution is taking the implant out.

Also I was sat in the waiting room for half an hour before they even bothered to tell me!

Berni I'm glad Chris is playing more with Kyle, I hope it lasts!

i had my implant out 6 months after i had it put in because of bad side effects, including excess bleeding funnily enough. i dont actually remember it being painful AT ALL. so dont worry!! mine got stuck a little bit, but it still didnt hurt. it was just the bruising afterwards.
btw they should have offered u a diff doctor, i would have gone mental
