There's not much you can do when you're in an abusive relationship. After, you think to yourself "next time i'll be tough..next time i'll stand up for myself, " but it never works out like that sadly. People stay in abusive relationships out of pure fear, and they always seem to see the good in the abuser rather than the bad..i think it's a very realistic way of portraying domestic abuse.

As for the drug (Heroin) storyline, having had a not so easy past myself, i can say this is indeed the after effects, not pleasant. But i think they're going the wrong way about putting the message across, because the storyline has dragged on for so long, it is just making young people (of all ages) more curious about it!

Oh also..the "bird" around max's is from right at the beginning of Hollyoaks, so unless you've watched it right from the start (going back a good number of years now!) you won't necessarily remember her..
