I shall go forth in a bit and make this wonderful suggestion on behalf of you all

~ 'Paint the skyscrapers with huge totem faces and goblin tikis, and every evening what's left of mankind will retreat to empty zoos and lock itself in cages as protection against the bears and big cats and wolves that pace and watch us from outside the cage bars at night'- Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club

Haha yay <3

I'm finally catching up on reading. I have at least 7 books on my To Read list. Right now I'm on What I Was by Meg Rosoff.
I really love her. She creates the most wonderfully odd characters :)

Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings,
About fire in our bellies and furtive little feelings,
And the aching amplitudes that set our needles all a-flickering,
And help us with remembering that the only thing that's left to do is live.

You know, I never realised how many unconscious habits we pick up from our parents until now.
I was making a coffee and I realised how I make it is to spoon in the coffee, the sugar and then add the hot water and then the milk. But I've seen people perform it coffee, water, then sugar and milk. And even coffee, sugar, milk then hot water.
I make my coffee that way because its how my parents made their coffee.

People must pick up hundreds of little habits from their parents growing up. Weird. Just how much of us is learned behaviour picked up from other people?

That's how I do mine :)
The bit I bolded.

And apparently most of our behaviour is from other people, isn't it?
I find that sort of thing really interesting. I think I'm going to start reading more about psychology. I quite fancy persuing it as a career. Maybe. We'll have to see.

I used to think most of the habits i've picked up I worked out for myself. but now I wonder just how much was picked up through watching others.

Oh, and;

Coffee, sugar, water, milk.
Always has been.
It's the same with tea.

How many people here drink coffee? I always feel like the odd one out because I can't drink it.
