As she was listening…a look of sheer horror placed itself on her face. No…she kept on mouthing that word…”no.” It took mere seconds for her disposition to make a drastic change.
Mer’s demons were unearthing right before my eyes. Her cool, collected demeanor was falling to pieces as we stood there. It had reached the point where I couldn’t recognize her.
“No, no, no, no…” She shook, tears falling from her eyes. “No, no, no!”
“Oh, no!” I thought as her veneer continued to change. The fear in her voice was replaced with malice while wrath replaced sadness. “This isn’t good.”
In hopes of reaching her, I held on to her as tight as I could.
“Mer, you gotta calm down.” I said, gripping her tightly. “I know what you’re thinking, but don’t do it! Who knows what this guy is capable of. We just gotta stay calm and think of how we can save her so no one gets hurt.”
My attempt at reasoning was in vain.
“No, no, no…” She growled, seeming almost guttural. Her muscles were tensing under my arms. I held onto her with all my might, bracing myself for what was about to happen…
“Mer…don’t!” I begged, bracing myself for whatever she was going to do. My plea didn’t reach her, for it only took a moment for the situation to go from bad to worse.
With one swift movement, Mer broke free of my grip, making a mad dash around the corner where Cecilia was.
“****,” I muttered. “This is not good.” I ran as fast as I could, just hoping to reach her before it was too late.
As I tuned that corner, Mer’s fist was connecting to the jaw of the sick **** on top of Cecilia. I stood there, watching her swinging and kicking at this ****er, at a crossroads.
My mind was telling me to stop Mer, only because I know she is capable of killing this sick-o…
OR
My heart was telling me to go to Cecilia, who needs help right now…
I listened to my heart and sprinted over to Cecilia. When I reached her side…nothing could please me more than to see Mer kill this sick mother****ing bastard. The mere site of her body caused me to completely and utterly break down.
I collapsed to my knees as I looked at her. She was in a state of utter exhaustion, her naked chest heaving up and down ever so violently. There were red hand marks all over her breasts. Her nipples were covered in bite marks…some even breaking skin. I scooped her up, choking back tears as I attempted to cover her with her top…the ends of the straps fringed because they were cut with something.
I looked back up at Mer.
“You mother****ing son of a bitch!” She screamed, buffeting this sick **** with her fists. “How ****ing dare you do that to her!” I realized that this **** was swinging a knife at her as she swung at him. She probably doesn’t even realize it…so blinded by rage.
As much as I didn’t want to, I looked down at Cecilia’s lower body to see how bad she was hurt.
“No…****ing bastard!” I sobbed. Bruises were starting to form on her thighs and…and…there was a mixture of blood and cum trickling out of her most private area. “Cecilia…Cecilia?!”
As I was sitting there, mourning her in my arms…her eyes fluttered open, if only for a brief while…
“It’s ok…everything is going to be ok!” I held her tightly in my arms.
I didn’t want to believe it…this bastard took her innocence away from her…her dignity…all of it…gone!
“Don’t worry…I’ll get you covered up!” I stripped myself of my shirt and fashioned it around her legs.
Holding her in my arms, I looked back up at Mer, who was starting to falter. This sick **** looked like he was going to topple over at any moment…but there was something about Mer that wasn’t right.
“****!” I gasped, staring at her staggering body, still swinging. “What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do? What am I…”
I felt a sudden rush of air as someone sprinted past me. I couldn’t tell who it was until they stopped.
It was Dan who came to her rescue…giving the sick **** a swift kick to the chops, knocking him over where he stood. Mer was still trying to get at him…yelling and screaming as Dan pulled her away.
Seb emerged from around the corner a few moments later.
“I got Mer…you gotta tie this guy up!” Dan ordered. Seb glared at him for a moment then nodded. He grabbed a piece of rope that was hanging out of a nearby dumpster. As he was tying the sick ****er up, Mer started going into a coughing fit. “Geez…c’mon, you’re alright!”
“No! She’s not!” I yelled…realizing that Mer was the furthest from alright that she could be at this moment. “She’s coughing up blood!”
That wasn’t even the worst, but we couldn’t tell because Mer was trying to fight Dan off. Dan faced her…and shuddered as blood came out of her mouth…he tried to lie her on the ground, but she was as reluctant as ever. He couldn’t get her to kneel.
“C’mon Mer…you gotta relax!” Dan commanded, pushing her down.” C’mon…you gotta…”
I watched as her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She proceeded to collapse straight out of his arms. Dan caught her head before it hit the concrete. The worst of Mer’s condition showed it’s face as soon as she was dead still on her back…
There were at least five large lacerations on her torso, and there it was, a knife was sticking out right above her navel.
“Mer…Mer!” Seb yelled in horror, letting go of the last knot he made. “Oh…my…God! Dan…get the van!” He dropped to his knees next to her, pulling the knife out and casting it aside.
“I can’t…I just can’t!” Dan exclaimed ”If she gets up…you know it’s gonna take the two of us to keep her down!”
“****, ****, ****!” I yelled. “What the **** are we gonna do?” Before I finished the statement, Sara came dashing around the corner. Without thinking, I took the keys from my pocket and threw them in her direction. “Get the van, Sara! HURRY!”
She picked them up, nodded, and sprinted in the opposite direction as the rest of us stayed here with our two unconscious friends.
I looked back down at Cecilia…her eyes open for yet another moment.
“It’s ok…” I sobbed softly, looking into her tired eyes. “You’re safe…”
