Well, currently living in Tipton in the West Midlands with my other half. I like rats and olives and the smell of sandalwood, I've overcome SI, EDs and alcoholism and still battle quite a bit with social anxiety, however things have been getting slowly better with this. Not currently working but doing various courses and some volunteer training, in preparation for when I eventually decide what the hell to do with my life. Films, books and music are good. It's my dream to be fluent in Russian and to go on the Trans-Siberian railway journey from Moscow to Beijing. And Turkish Delight rocks.

I'm Colin. I'm 18 and live in Florida. I use to go to this site when it was RuinYL, and a bit into the first version of Recover. I was banned for about two years, just recently getting unbanned and now I'm back just looking around. I don't SI anymore, although my depression still stands strong. I dont know what I'm looking for by coming back but hopefully it'll be good for me.

I'm Jess, i'm 22 and live in Tasmania (right down the south of Australia, we're an island all of our own). I'm almost 10 months cut free... i'm studying to be a youth counsellor and I'm currently conducting a research project on how there is a need for a youth specific (12-24) residential drug and alcohol rehab center in hobart. Umm... I still get grumpy and down and things and am still battling with an e.d. But i'm pretty much always up to chat, so drop me a pm if you want!

Hello all!
I keep meaning to introduce myself but I always chicken out at the last minute! This time I'm gonna do it though!

I am Sabina (sabbe,sab,sabbelicious,djSab,the amazing sab) and I'm 24. I work as a nanny and have done for the past 2 1/2 years (was an aupair for a year before that).
I have suffered depression since I was twelve and SI from 13. I have episodes when my depression is really bad and I SI alot and sometimes it's a bit better and I usually managed to be SI free for a bit. At the mo I've been cut free for about a month (yay, go me!!!!) and I have recently started psychotherapy...

I am from Sweden but have lived in london for 3 1/2 years (or is it longer) and I am not planning to leave any time soon!

I used to hang around on vets a lot on old RYL but I only posted a little so no-one prob remembers me!

So yeah, thats me!

hi, Im Katkinb, Im 27(almost 28...), I live in North Wales and work in Chester.
Erm, I posted a little on the v2 site(I was katb then katkinb), and before that it was ruin..., but I kind of come and go.
I think the new site is a bit scary, but I will keep trying to post things for people.
I have a really bad habit of waffling, so i apologise now for any of my replies to you guys.

Don't worry, the fleas are house trained too!!! Not sure about the small family of mice that are currently residing in my shaggy, knotted fur though!

i'm sophie, i'm 17 so i guess that makes me a mini vet and i live in melbourne australia. i've been SI free for almost 9months, havent smoked in almost 2 years and have h ad an almost healthy body weight for about 3 months :)
i used to lurk in vets on V2 but thought i should start posting now that the change over is complete. so much easier when everyone's new :)
i love RYL and my RYL family even though i dont know who most of them are or whether they're still part of RYL. also love getting pm's so feel free to pm me!

I am 26, schizo and live in an institution for mentally ill young people. Currently i don't really do anything interesting with my life.... I smoke and you will find most times that i don't have a penny to my name.

I have been here since it was called RuinYourLife.... That will be 3 and a half years around now..... I am currently trying to stop cutting. I have been a cutter since i was 14 so it's hard changing such old habits....
