Telling people?
Basic situation: I've known this girl for EVER. Like, eleven years, almost. About three or more months ago, we were talking and each admitted to having something we never told the other. So she told me hers. I promised that I would tell her mine, just not then. I had decided if I could make it over three months without SI then I would tell her, because I didn't want her to constantly check me.
Well three months is about 5 days away. I want to tell her, because I promised that I would. But her 5 month-iversary with her significant other is tomorrow. I don't want to tell her so soon that it disrupts that. And I also have absolutely NO idea how to broach the subject with her, because we almost never get to see each other and talk face-to-face anymore ( our schedules never work out that way ).
Ideas?

First of all...Congratulations on 3 months SI free...that is awesome!! :D :)
Could you not wait until after her anniversary, maybe till this weekend? You don't have to tell her face to face either. Maybe write her a letter saying asking if she remembers your previous conversation and saying that you feel the time is now right for you to tell her your secret? Explain why you didn't before and why you want her to know now.
I think it is a great idea to tell someone. If nothing else you will have a new form of support and it may well bring the two of you closer. Don't freak out though if she doesn't know quite what to say to start with. It is a big thing for some people to understand, especially straight away. It sounds like you really trust her though so I'm sure it will be fine *hugs*

Thanks, everyone. I think I'll do that. The letter thing, or something similar. I have to wait a while, I think. Her anniversary's past, but her s/o came down for a bit I think. I'll give it to her when her s/o's gone home again.

Tell her next weekend :)
However, I personally don't advise the letter, it's very... personal.
You're better off finding time to talk to her about it I think :)
*hugs* xx
