fi, i know what you mean
i have been vegetarian for many years but i do not 'preach' ppl into going veggie or leaving meat
each to their own
but as you say, there's nothing wrong in not eating animals and all i want is for ppl to leave me alone with my vegetarianism
i had a very hard time with my family for the first 2 or 3 years
ah, nm, it's over now
:)

keep me safe from harm

I did consider for a long while becoming vegetarian, as a long term boyfriend of mine was strictly vegetarian and to be honest the food he cooked was just as lovely as all the meat food I ate, but at the time there was no way my nan or mum would have cooked it for me... nan was of the opinion that "If I wanted to be veggie then could have the dinner without the meat".... mmmm a plate full of veggies didn't sound to apetising.

Now to ne honest I have no problem with eating meat, I know I will probably get slated for this but in my opinion I think it is fine.

Oh and on another side note, pescatarianism isn't a form of vegetarianism... well that is what the vegetarian society says anyway.

I'm a vegetarian, have been for years now. When I was in hospital a couple of weeks ago I ended up swallowing a piece of meat though because it was in my vegetable casserole - I was nearly very ill! I made a complaint needless to say :/

I'm a vegetarian (pescatarian if you like, as i do eat fish) and have been for 12, nearly 13 years.
But its not for ethical or moral reasons, i simply don't like the taste of meat. In fact i despise it! Always have done, but i love seafood and fish.
I don't think there is anything wrong with eating animals or not eating them. I just don't eat what i don't like!

I've been vegetarian since I was about 7 years old... I was a strong-willed child :)
Then I was vegan for about a year, but that's on hold at the moment thanks to the fact that my doctor decided it was majorly bad for me.... I'm waiting for some blood test results to prove him WRONG so that I can go back to it :)

Tonight I'm alive just to say I love you to death.

I slowly stopped eating meat in august of 06. I couldnt just go (please excuse the bad pun) cold turkey, I slowly stopped eating one type at a time.
So in January I finally gave up chicken and I thought it was going to be really difficult but I dont miss it at all. Meat turns my stomach now.
But I hate when people preach about them being a vegetarian and get all high and mighty. Thats with anything though.

Dream.
