Yes i do the God i believe in is the one from the Bible the God who loves everyone and gave everyone free will anywho can really say much more as i'm not one to break the rules hehe
Decartes one said (l'll put the English translation :P):
Imagine a "Supremely Perfect Being" (So a Being that is perfect in every single way)
Existance is a perfect (Something that exists compaired to the exact same thing that doesnt exist, is more 'perfect')
Therefore: God exists necessarily
Obviously this can and has been contested (those nothing is ever proved or disproved in this sort of subject), but l thought l might as well post it, but does it make sense?
Descartes ontological argument for the existence of God is absurd. [IMO]

No. That's not to say I think there's no point to anything or nothing spiritual in the world. I'm just not into the whole theism thing, and I don't desire to be. But I so so so love learning about religions.
well, i have sown untidy furrows 'cross my soul,
but I am still a coward,
content to see my garden grow so sweet & full
of someone else's flowers.
I believe in God. However, I am replying to this to remind everyone to stay respectful and stay within the boundaries of the rules. As long as that happens, we have no reason to delete or lock this thread. :)
I was brought up a christian and do believe in God but I wouldnt class myself as religous if that makes sense?

I am currently:
I'm meant to be a Christian and I sort of swing between passionate belief and defense of God and atheism - I know it's very extreme but it's true. How can there be an omnipresent, omnipotent, omnibenevolent God who still puts us through hell and back?
And yes, yes I'm an RE geek and can answer that question a thousand different ways, but none of them ring true for me, personally.
I'm a Quaker, so I'm very free to believe what I choose to believe.
I believe in "that of God in everyone" but I don't call it that, the majority of Quakers believe in that or "the Inner Light" and I would probably say "the Inner Light" because there's too much bad to believe in God.

I believe in an after life, and I think there are 'other' beings out there...but its kinda like politics, see...its just like how it works here...except without the whole corporal existance thing.
In true sitting-on-the-fence fashion, I don't care either way. If he does exist, then good for him, but if not then I'm at ease with the idea of having nothing to deal with after death.
Couldn't have said it any better myself.

right now is not a good time for me to be talking about God...I was a Christian from the age of 16 til a few months ago...i don't know what i belive just now!
The way other Christians I know have been behaving makes me want to just have nothing to do with it at all! I wanna have a faith because it was a big part of my life and helped me through the toughest times but how can I be a part of something where people who are meant ot be so loving and kind just are not? I'm just happy being me just now without there being a label on it...some people may say some of my behaviour is Christian like but others may not agree and to be perfectly honest right now...i don't really care!
I am a Pagan anglo-Catholic, which is a rather entertaining combination. In essence, I believe that an all-powerful, omniscient God can work just as easily through spells and the tarot as through prayer and prophecy, that there is ample room in the idea of a triumvirate God for a Goddess aspect (God is obviously genderless anyway, and genders are simply something that we cannot imagine something without, so we impose a gender upon Her - and I choose female pronouns as opposed to male ones, as if we're picking our own the only reason we pick male is years of sexual oppression.) and that God appreciates worship just as much by any means-be it through prayer, or service, or song, or sex, or the sheer enjoyment of life, or nature.
Trying to find a balance between Paganism and Christianity is always amusing, but the two are far more compatible than you'd think. The spring festival I celebrate is most definitely Easter, the commemoration of the death and resurrection of Christ, but the winter festival I choose is far more like Yule, the winter solstice, the turning of the year.
