oh sugar
i made the mistake of putting on my resume about having had singing training. now a guy at work has approached me abotu singing at one of the big work conferences, and im panicking. i cant sing. i havent sung properly for years, holy ****. im going to sound like ****. im so out of practice. oh god why. how do i get out of this. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would just be honest and tell him you haven't had singing lessons in yonks (unless you told a wee white lie on your resume...) and don't feel particularly comfortable singing infront of everyone. It's a bit forward of him to ask is it not?
You don't have to do anything you don't want to, they can't force you to sing :)

I didna lie on my resume. I just said I have been classically trained, which is true. Just, i havent sung properly for a while now... cept to myself, and any other poor soul thats around.
Well, i have been saying i wanted to get back into singing this year, maybe this is the push i need.
note to self, stop smoking!

you should try some gargling exercises pstar;) its ll the rage in some films ive seen
go for it, **** um if your out of practice, or just invent some sort of weeding when the event is always a good excuse.

There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there.
