i've always hated valentines day and usually plan to celebrate the day in bed with ice cream and pizza but this year i'm working :( and so its going to SUCK. hopefully no-one will mention what they're doing for it though.
Life can be beautiful if you let it.
Step back, breathe and take it in
Gary and I are working which sucks.
I finish at 5:45 and he finishes at 6:30. So not much of a valentines day.
When I was younger and single it did not bother me though not having a date for Valentines day when all my mates did.
Let me be the one you call
If you jump i'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn YOU'RE NOT ALONE
I've always hated it tbh.
What's the point in it?
It makes everyone who doesn't have a partner feel bad while huge companies can cash in on people who want to make the day a special one...when they can do that anyday anyway.
Wasn't valentines day originally telling/or secretly notifying someone that you like them.
Its about romance! And making single people feel like they're loved!
Tell someone you love them, because they might not know it.
Whats with all this sodding bitterness.
I understand, the way its become as plastic and fake as Christmas. And I hate the idea of all the BS that people buy.
But, they're nothing wrong with a Single red Rose, and an anonymous card.
That is Valentines Day.
And climb high to the highest rung, to shake fists at the sky.
I used to be really bothered when I was a bit younger and desperate for a boyfriend....now I'm not too fussed.
Mainly because I think Valentines is so tacky and fake...
I really wouldn't celebrate it even if I was taken...
But yeah, happy couples being rubbed in your face does kinda remind you of how lonely you are....
the worst was when I was sitting in starbucks yesterday.
I swear I was the only non-couple in the whole place (and its a BIG place!)
Literally *everyone* was kissing there partner (rather noiselly too)
There were so many kissing couples it was like the twilight zone or somthing.....so depressing for me he he

Why should we have to set aside a day for spontaneous romance/to show people that you love and care for them?
It just seems a little stupid to me. If I loved someone/wanted to do something special for them, I'd tell them/do it whenever I felt like I should. I wouldn't wait until Valentine's day just because that's the custom. Similarly, if I loved someone, why should I feel like I 'need' to tell them this on Valentine's day, it's all a bit of a cop out.
I honestly don't give a **** this year.
I'm going to celebrate being free of a lot of the stupid crap which comes with being in a relationship. A bottle of wine and ben and jerry's to being alone!
(It looks like I'm the only one not moping in it..)
If only you'd ever speak to me
the way you once did
look at me the way you once did
pull to me the way you once did
but you don't
you don't feel anymore
you don't care anymore
it's all gone
it's all gone
-yawn-
Valentines day is a bit wank.
But I haven't not had a 'valentine' for the last four... and before that I didn't give a sh*t about relationships.
Still do the card shiz, still have valentines sex.
Win, win.
Me and my girlfriend aren't bothering with it. If you can't tell the person you're worth that you love them everyday, then what's the point.
Besides, it's our 2 year anniversery the day after. Way more important.
