sweeney todd was violent in some respects, but not extremely so.
Maybe the chair tipping back and hearing there neck and skull crush on impact was abit extreme, but it all added to it. Ace Film!!

You know they have special viewings for mothers so they can take their babies...well my mums friends daughter is going with her six month old to see Sweeny Todd. Now im sorry but they have no idea what a child experiences at that age. Ridiculous I feel.

Im not adverse to violence I just personally find it...not nice, I didnt like the first killing or professor snapes killing. I loved the film though. The music was wonderful even though the little'un outsung everyone else. It was just lovely...apart from the slitting.

Yey two approvals!
Cocoon was groovy to, bit like Close Encounters :)
Im really desperate for the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I agree. to be honest, taking most children under 3 to the cinema is plain stupid. A 6month old is not going to sit there with you while you watch a movie, it needs attention. I don't see why any mother would do that, but eh there we go.

its a pain in the arse, babies shouldnt go to the cinema. i went and watched spiderman and the air con was bust so it was boiling hot, and there was a baby screaming all through the sodding thing.

No my dear its a special showing just for mothers and babies so that they dont annoy others. BUT-

The following content has been hidden - Reason : Not really spoilers for Sweeny but just in case...
You know when he shoves Mrs Lovett in the fire and she screams? That is one scary scream, Helena Bonham Carter really pulled off that character and that scream, and the sounds of the breaking bones etc.

I know they are only babies, but we dont what they hear and what effects them. Sorry its probably just me but my earliest memory is just over one years old so *shrug*

Sounds like a nice touch to me.

Baby's in the cinema is wrong unless its like a lil kids film if you want to go see a movie get a sitter!!

Anyway I watched Night Watch last night and it blew me away, it's so dark and creative, makes Blade look like my little pony

Helen Bonham Carter was incredible in that film. I think her and johnny depp work really well together.

I got the Lethal Weapon box set yesterday. They are awesome and they were so cheap.

Today i bought 'The Edukators' got Daniel Bruhl in it, the guy from Goodbye Lenin, one of my favourite films. Im looking forward to watching it.

Ooh i've been wanting to see Night watch, i'm glad it was good!!

The original and best. I saw it today in...WH Smiths I think...

The mother & children screenings for films classed as 18's are stupid, why would anyone take a baby into an 18 is my question. Although when I was in town earlier a child was talking about Alien Vs Predator, and I personally wouldn't have thought this child was anymore than 10 although I wasn't paying that much attention. It is disgusting.

I am so excited about Cloverfield, a friend and I should be going to see it next week. 'Tis amazing since I only seem to go to the cinema about once a term...if that.

I have the original Willy Wonka - The chocolate factory.

I want a good, engrossing film to watch, but I have a lesson in an hour and a half for 2 hours. Ugh. I need a pick me up.
