^lol!
I hope Lana won’t mind me sharing her reason for not voting in the poll, which was that there was no option for ‘won’t behave, still pro-reopening’
I used the thread a bit back in the day and I was sad when it was closed. I guess I wanted to know, would the old thread be reopened or would we start a brand new one?
I didn’t vote in the poll because I don’t think reopening the old one is a good idea, but if we were to make a new one I’d be up for that.
What if I use my second account to trash talk my primary account in a very obvious fashion??? Would that be considered rule breaking?
Would email but apparently that's not possible.
Yes, but not for the reasons you are thinking - it's illegal/against the rules to pretend that your second account is a different person to you (e.g. conversing with yourself). This would be breaking the rules about lying.
I want to reopen the old one because I can't delete posts from a closed thread!!!!
At what point would we establish that someone is actually pretending to be someone else on their non main account???
Surely, if I can talk about myself in the third person on my main it can't be illegal to do so on a side account???
I wouldn't be talking TO me, just ABOUT me.
Also, pretty sure talking to yourself is considered pretty common and healthy???

You used it 17 times, in case you are interested.
The issue of reopen vs make new thread was actually raised after the one year closure. It was agreed that we should be trusted to have our old thread back and not need a new one. Of course it transpired that some people couldn't be trusted but I think that would have happened on a new thread anyway, I really don't see the difference?
I agree with Lana about wanting the old one back, mainly for nostalgic reasons!
P.S. Lana, you know you can just report posts on a locked thread to get them removed right?
Haha, yeah, trust us all to come out the woodwork when theres drama afoot :P
I guess my reasoning for a new thread was that it would kind of close the door on the old drama, but I guess 6 years does that anyway and if *some people* were the main cause, I agree that we’ve all grown up. I was also concerned about people reading old posts in it and getting upset, but then they could do that anyway since its still on the boards.
I don’t read my old r/v threads or support threads from ages ago so could just do the same for the say here thread if consensus was to reopen it :)
The title of this thread is "Say Here" and as I am "saying" things "here" I feel I am moving well within the parameters of the thread as established by the title
Your lack of precision is confusing and disturbing
I assumed so but I should have like a million posts on there!!!!
259 to be precise.

Very valid. That's the exact reason that we generally ask people not to 'bump' threads that haven't been posted in for a while as even seeing the title of a support thread you made years ago reappearing could be unnerving at the very least! However, I'd say here (lol) that the thread was so busy (14 posts a day in the section I just looked at!) that posts got buried really quickly and this mightn't be a huge concern. Even if you click into the thread there's 28000+ posts to trawl through to find your own. So I'm hoping this wouldn't be a worry.
Right, I'm going for it - after member consultation, the Say Here thread will officially be reopened. Who will be the first poster I wonder... (My opening post doesn't count!)
