Does anybody struggle to explain their SI to their partner? My boyfriend always blames himself and I don't know what to say to him apart from trying to assure him that its not, because it usually isn't. He never triggers me, its usually myself. He's the person that I think I can turn to but if he blames himself I don't know if I can cos I can't make him feel like that. Does anyone else have the same problem? Or does anybody know what I can do? love Claire x x x

my boyfriend's ex used to self harm so its never really mentioned at all.
However I not self harmed in the 4 months we been together so I guess he sees it as in the past and does not want to upset me or anything by bringing it up.

Let me be the one you call
If you jump i'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
YOU'RE NOT ALONE

My ex never blamed himself, but he was always sad when he saw new ones.
