Hi all! I was just thinking and sometimes our mental health can seem to take over and it can be hard to maintain an identity outside of mental illness and struggles.
But mental health, whilst a part of us, does not DEFINE us.
So tell us one thing about yourself that isn’t mental health related!
I’ll start:
I like musicals, in particular, Avenue Q, Wicked and Les Miserables.
I don't ride currently but I work at a horse barn. I've worked there almost three years now!
Also I will say most of the horses I work with will let me catch them for good enough treats or food lol. But I think if they thought I was going to ride them they would not!
Please do not give me virtual hugs unless you are only using the hug function on threads. Thanks.
You can't always keep it separate.
This is happening, this is part of you.
I very rarely take out a halter or lead rope if i am trying to catch them. Usually I just take out treats and get them to follow me back in. I think it's when they see the halter or lead rope that they go to run away. The only problem is when you only need one of them and the rest try to come argue about treats!
Please do not give me virtual hugs unless you are only using the hug function on threads. Thanks.

That's awesome Buckie, horses are wonderful! I used to ride a veeery long time ago, I miss it. Maybe I will start again one day!
Also I enjoy this thread.
I absolutely love Halloween. I get super excited about it at least a month in advance!

I think you need to bring the picture to the next virtual meet. That’s very cool! You should try it again Beckie! Your Mum still has horses right?
Thanks cool Camden, do you ride?
I don't know how I missed your comment Emma!
I do have a picture on my phone!
I'd love to try it again but without a car it's hard to get to any riding schools. The horses my mum has aren't currently rideable!
That's cute Camden!
You should start again Serendipity! (I can't remember if you are ok with your name being on here or not!)
Halloween is awesome!
I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!
That sounds interesting tamo. I have a degree in theology which I'm sure is more useless than Sanskrit!
Beckie I didn't mean to call you Buckie, for some reason autocorrect thinks that is a more appropriate name! And yeah I'm fine with my name on here. Maybe I will try riding again! One day when I have money!

I used to horse ride too but sadly weigh too much to take it up again. There's a riding school in the next but one village though. I have a picture of me on horse back in my happy box.
Anyway my fact is that I have recorded an album in Welsh.

The town where my secondary school was had an youth eisteddfod. Basically everyone who was in the last year of primary school in the surrounding areas took part in a musical. We had to learn various songs and we had to record them in a proper professional recording studio. Afterwards during rehearsals for the musical we were told instead of singing to mime to the album which would be played. It was shown on TV. So the songs were basically musical songs written especially for the musical.
Being an eisteddfod (an eisteddfod is an Welsh festival of the arts) it was in Welsh. The programme and album were for sale in the eisteddfod stall so yep I recorded an album. Mind you there was about 25 people per song (some songs I didnt sing on because my character wasn't involved) so I wasn't the only one who recorded the album but that's my story.
