Christmas number 1

OK so i'm fed up of the winner of X factor automatically being the Christmas number 1. Even if the winner is the greatest singer to ever live which is very unlikely, its just cynical and arrogant to realease it assuming they will get the number 1. So I say we throw a spanner in the works, now downloads affect the chart position it can be done.

tbh, i really couldn't give a damn who gets Christmas number one. The charts mean shiit all to me.

It's so easy to get lost in constantly having to present
whatever face you believe a person wants to see rather than your own

I think it is a shame that normaly who ever wins the X factor does get number 1 because there other great singers that deserve it.

I don't see any difference between xmas number 1, and any other time of the year.
I just all 'round don't care.

I normally couldn't give a toss about the charts but christmas number 1 has for years been an oportunity for lesser known artists to make an atempt or to just have good fun xmas songs. Basically now with downloads there are many options The pogues are one of the better outsiders but personally if i can sway the charts at all i'd like to see Malcolm Middleton get it because he is genuinely independant and genuinly talented.

I wouldn't actually mind if it was a decent song. No offence but this year's Xfactor song thing is pretty shitty.

The general publics music taste is complete **** so...I couldn't care less. Let them buy their mass produced, publicised bollocks, they will never actually know what true music is!

I don't really care that much, its not going to keep me up at night but for me its more about denying the cultural pustual that is Simon Cowell any more money.

Even if the whole of RYL voted for one other top-contender for the Christmas number 1, I think that Leon would still win.
Yes, it's a little silly, but there we go - I don't think there's a lot we can do about it, realistically. *shrugs* x

Reuben for Christmas number 1, I say.
Download "Christmas Is Awesome" from iTunes
In a true attempt to put a spanner in the works of x-mas no.1

Here's the vid on youtube where you'll find the link to download this cracker. No christmas pun intended

Dicky!
I read that as "general pubics" which made me do a double take.
And that is my two cents.

But just to add something....there haven't been any decent Christmas songs for ages.
I love Slade and Wizzard and all the "classics"....the Pogues are another. Which is why I DO like Crimbo number ones....

But due to lack of decent entries over the past few year... "The best Christmas Album ever 2007" is probably identical to ever other for the past goodness-knows-how-many years.

Meh.

Have you seen the way they kiss in the movies?

Anyone know what i'm talking about?

Well that should be number 1.

Tbh, I wouldn't really mind leona lewis being christmas no1 again with bleeding love but, I dislike x factor, and i dislike them getting christmas no1 everyyear.
