Triggering (Suicide) - help my freind is thinking about suicide!

and im a whole freaking ocean away!!!

i dont know what to do!!!
she is hurting really bad...her brother died recently and she just lost a friend a few days ago!

she emailed me something that sounded wayyy to much like a goodbye note and kept saying she loved me and she would "watch over me and protect me"

what do i do? what can i say?

i want to help ;_;
i just hope she will talk to me...before she does anything.

It sounds like your friend isnt thinking clearly right now because of the death of her brother and friend. She needs to know that you are there for her and lover her as well. If you think she might try to seriously harm herself in the near future, if possible I would take action to insure that wouldnt happen. Ultimately it is her choice and no one can stop that, unfortunately. Since it is likely that shes not in the best frame of mind, she may be angry at you now if you try to intervene but may thank you later. Do you know the phone number of a friend or relative that lives near her?

This is a hard situation to be in. This is just my opinion of what I'd probably do in a similar situation, but its your choice and you know your friend.

If I were in your shoes, I'd never leave her alone. Let her know that you love her, and that there's no use in killing herself since it won't solve anything. Tell her that you will always be there for her, n that you will help her to go through the hard times.

Friendship is one of the worthest things we have, and one of the strongest reasons to keep on living. If you show her that, I'm sure she will reconsider her decision.

Just, stay with her,and remember her that you love her, and that if she ends with her life, she will be killing a part of you too...

this may sound awkward, but just ask her straight. even if she says no, she'll probably feel better that someone is paying attention to her pain and wants to help... or at least that's how i feel. when people act oblivious (whether they are or not) it makes me feel more alone.

update.
i was able to talk to her...i pretty much told her if she was considering suicide that she needed to stop and think...she kept saying that it was her time to go...so i talked to her about how devastated we would all be if she left us..and i made her promise me that everyday she would promise that she would hang on for one more day...and she did

it was funny after i talked to her..her whole attitude changed...i think she thought no one noticed..or that no one cared....

Thats great to hear that your friends whole additude has changed. It's good that you are showing her that you are there for her and care.

When you said you made her promise everday that shed hand on for one more day, that reminded me of something similar I did for my friend who was also thinking about suicide. I made her promise that every morning when she woke up that she would text my phone. That helped her a lot because she knew I would be waiting to hear from her every morning so she knew someone cared and was waiting to hear from her.
