Endoscopy

I’m at hospital today having some investigations, has anyone has an endoscopy without sedation? Also the anaesthetic won’t work on me because of one of my conditions, so has anyone had it without the throat spray?
Also I may need a CRINGE colonoscopy, has anyone had that without sedation?

I hate being sedated I blurt out loads of crap.

I had a colonoscopy under very light sedation. I remember watching the screen with a kind of morbid fascination :P
Normally I go a bit funny when sedated but I was fine with this. Obviously it's uncomfortable and embarrassing but they do this all day every day so there won't be any judgement from them.

I did it without anything and it just gave me a sore throat but they wouldn’t give painkillers. Everyone else got tea and toast but because I was waiting for transport I got a glass of lukewarm water!
Anyway I have a hernia so my stomach is in my chest
