I'm on a positive kick. Please excuse me.
I am pleased to announce that after years of therapy and self-help, I am able to remember two of these events as normal memories and no longer get flashbacks/nightmares about these.
It's given me hope that the PTSD resulting from these events can be overcome.
I finally feel a survivor rather than a victim of these memories.
It is possible. I have a lot of battle wounds and negative core beliefs that still torment me but the fact I have processed these memories to the point they are now simply memories have given me such a boost.
Keep fighting. It won't be this horrendous forever. Talk/write/draw, whatever. You CAN do this!
