I can see that. I guess i can just find a different forum to use. Just sorting through thirty abuse, struggling threads of any sort to find a drug thread is a tad disheartening.

Yep we got rid of lots and lots of boards a while ago as they were very quiet.

Well my phone went out during my speech so herw we go again. I aint the forum favorites, i can scresnshot my infractions, the infractions dropped also. I feel though they were quiet it could be a good thing. I don't feel people struggling in a thread totally, can support a person in a thread elsewhere. My reasoning should be substantial. Id like a drug sub forums brought back. Ive been around five years. I ain't looking for attention, i feel i help to druggies or suicide threads. I would like hurley to be brought attention to this. Recovering yo r life is about all things. Thats what i am. I brought up my relapse, if you would call it that. Im going to a a.a. campout in utah tomorrow. I know only a handful of mods even deal with mme. I don't think im asking too much, im j st looking out for people to be better. Some say people don't change and looking at the same threads i can agree. But some people do change

I'm not sure how your infractions are related to the changes on the forum?

There was a thread discussing those changes and there was a poll.
Members did have a say and decided that a number of boards could go in order to increase activity.
What do you feel is the downside of posting in Serious or Mental Health instead?
More people read those, so more people might reply.

I also don't see the link between your infractions and the overhaul that was done on the boards.

You can see the announcement about the changes here.

I think it's probably a good thing that the substance abuse board has gone, because small quiet boards that were within another board tended to be visited very infrequently by people both seeking and giving support, so having threads related to substance abuse in the busier main boards means that people get more support more quickly.

Of course, you are entitled to disagree with that; I myself was and still am strongly opposed to the Moving Forward board being removed, but the decision was done through a democratic process and I think it's right that we went with what the majority wanted.

No other sadness in the world would do

I think a lot of people have changed here over the years in many positive ways. Those ways aren't always apparent RYL, but I will always defend those improvements in people.

I'm sure some will read this comment and think I'm taking things too personally, and maybe I am.

But meh.

My infractions go on, favoritism. Polls dont quite get the votes of people who are gone, easy for those to fly as they don't vote as they aren't there. Post a drug thread in a forum as you mentioned, with forty struggling threads suicidal threads that don't get answered or people so sunk in. Drugs aren't healthy from the gate. Add a thread to a sunk in place. Of a drug topic, drugs encompasses all of those other problems. Tempted to not even START one. Freaking could read a few threads on here and not even want to come back for a long while, if you're truly attempted to recover ones lifes. Get sunk in to negativity. Tell me im wrong? the injury forum of non experts commenting on others injuries, really.. I feel y'all took away from yourselves on your own will it sounds like, are the voters even paying for the webspace saved? Lol come on ladies. Can't exactly vote if you're gone fixing yourself. Its truly redundant to the definition . Like asking a dead person their vote on their tombstone.

We can meh ourselves all day. Their ain't too many that are recovered that don't come here to just come here. I guess theres some that vicariously live through others sorrows.

As i get older i don't care about eho replies, who reads. I don't even care who talks to me. Ignore me, ill deal. Drug thread topics, then the person actually was maybe looking to help or have some advice as opposed to split up the non replied to threads or the countless same struggling thread. Struggling is fighting also if you look up definition m to recover isn't a struggle. Its an art. I think.

Okay, I'm slightly confused but yeah, we're all of us responsible for ourselves and if RYL is unhelpful for us we can simply not come here.

I think it depends on what recovery looks like for an individual too. Whether self harm recovery or something else. Each to their own.

It may be that there are fewer members currently dealing with drug issues so people might not be able to relate as well as others, but that's just a guess. I don't think it's anyone's faults.

Genuine question- if you honestly feel that way about this site, then why still post here?

What type procedure would have been more democratic than a poll?
There will always be people who can't or won't participate in a vote. There's no perfect way to do it.

It wasn't just a poll there was a long discussion and the threads were well advertised throughout the boards.

I accept some people won't be happy about it as they weren't at the time but overall I think it's been seen to be a positive move.
