Nurses Day

Nurses Day is on 12 May this year (2016).

Is anyone doing anything for this? I always give my cpn a card (though she's currently off sick so I am unsure whether she will get one this year!). Over the past few years I have given her a cake. I got her a small present this year which will hopefully she will appreciate.

One year I wrote

"Dear xxx,

Happy nurses day!

Thanks for the support you have given me, past, present and hopefully future!

Thanks also for the advice you have given me and for not being too painful with the injections!

Love

insig"

and another year I also wrote

"xxx,

Happy nurses day!

Many thanks for the support & advice you have given me, past, present & hopefully future! Especially lately.

Thankyou for a year of wonderful care.

Love

Dawn"

Last year I wrote

"xxx

Happy Nurses Day!

Many thanks for the support and care shown to me over the past year, especially when I went IP.

Thank you for the advice you have given me, past, present and hopefully future!

I feel so lucky having a wonderful cpn as you. I can't express the care (which is wonderful) you have shown to me over the past year of which I am eternally grateful.

Love

Dawn"

"xxx,

Happy Nurses Day!

Many thanks for the support, compassion and care you have shown to me over the past year.

Thank you for always being there, of which I am eternally greatful.

Love

Dawn x".

I dont know what I will write, and which card I will give (since I have more than one to choose this year!), but I thought I would remind people in case they want to reward nurses in their lives (including cpns).

BTW I have put what I wrote in previous years because it will give me inspiration for when I get around to writing it!

When I was at uni I was impressed by how hard a nursing major was. During the first year it seemed the department. wanted a certain % of students to get another another degree

I have just written my card. I wrote

"xxx,

Without your support I wouldn't be where I am now, of which I am greatful.

Love,

Dawn".
