i took steps to keep myself grounded to try and ward off burning

- One of my friends gave me a nice, long cuddle which was very kind and comforting.

- Realised that I got the 1000th post in this thread (reminded me of the old uni thread days where we all plotted which multiple of 1000 we wanted and kept a record of who got what!)
- Taught my first year 11 lesson ever, with my year 10s from last year and it went as well as could be expected.

- today i feel good because i am super proud of my fiancée.
- I didn't harm myself even though things were really really bad.I
- I took a 'safe' dose of pregablin - more than I should but not an overdose amount. I wanted to take more but I didn't, so I am proud of that.
- I'm not freaking out about dinner which is nice!!

- I told my year 8s that I was worried they'd grown up so much over summer and wouldn't find me funny anymore, and one of them announced that she thinks she'll always find me funny
- Went round to a friend from work's house and met her cute dogs and did socialising

- Went to a friends birthday drinks which was lovely (despite only being able to stay for an hour).

Loving all the positives!

Yesterday I was ridiculously confused in my tap class and just couldn't make my feet do the steps we were supposed to do and I just wished I had an extra five minutes to practise it really slowly with no one watching. That doesn't sound like a positive but I think for the first time I really understood what it might be like for students in my lessons who are listening and trying but just can't get what I'm trying to teach them and need a bit of time to go through it slowly so I hope I'll have more empathy and patience from now on.

I am going to be very brave and get the bus to ikea. I need new tumblers. My sister is staying over next weekend, so I plan to be the perfect hostess. I might get a few other odds and ends since my flat is looking better and it will encourage me to keep tidying. I will have it a mini palace by the time my sister is over!
