Scared parents will find out A&E visit
Hello dear all. I am a 20 year old gay man from London and I have recently been out in a club during which I believe my drink was possibly spiked. I had some but not complete recollection of having sex with somebody. Therefore, I went to the A&E to get what's called a Post Exposure Prophalxysis which basically taken soon after possible exposure to HIV prevents it from entering your system when taken for 28 days. I have told the A&E the details, was given the medication and sent home after being told to see a GUM clinic for further tests which I did and am planing to attend. However I know the A&E informed the GP of my treatment and as I live with my parents I'm concerned that they'll send a letter home for some reason... How likely is this ? The hospital gave me an option to talk to a counsellor by phoning me however I declined it. Will this information remain confidential and now likely is the A&E to send a letter home?
