Cupcake glitter

I bake cupcakes and i'm starting to sell them but the one thing that i'm missing is good edible glitter. The only edible glitter i can find isn't very sparkly, or its lusture dust, but on cake websites they use really sparkly glitter, like the stuff you get in art shops. The only glitter i can find like that is non toxic glitter which people say is fine to eat but it is not technically edible so i can't put on cakes to sell.

Any bakers out there use any good glitter? I need to be able to get it in the UK.

Thanks!

^ very true. Milk is often glue and mash potatoes are sometimes ice cream in pictures.

I've seen the glitter on cupcake stands at markets but i never thought to ask where they get it from. So there must be edible glitter somewhere

I bought some edible glitter off amazon; it's very sparkly!

I know a lot of places don't actually use edible glitter but simply non-toxic glitter instead. It's safe to eat in small quantities and as it's more sparkly than edible glitter you don't need much of it anyway, just a very light dusting to give the cakes a bit of sparkle.

Dr. Oeteker I've probably spelt it wrong. You can get it in the supermarket and I think Sainsbury's have little tubs of coloured edible glitter.
