Hi everyone =)
Katy's having Internet issues so has asked me to let you all know she is going to be on BBC news this Thursday 14th May at 6.00pm and again at 10.00pm (UK). It's a piece about a pilot scheme being tested where police bring a mental health professional with them when attending to a call related to mental health issues. There is the possibility of RYL being mentioned too.

Ok I just watched it.
I'm glad that even the police are speaking up and saying that its wrong to criminalise the mentally ill so hopefully these new schemes they are trying will lead to some positive changes in mental health care however personally I think police should only be a last resort and there has to be help and procedures in place before having to involve the police.

I turned the tv on and it was on!
Katy which of the women were you? By the bridge? You are very brave for speaking out.
I think it's much better to have a mental health nurse going out with the police, taking people to a place of safety in hospital rather then police cells.
