ID help.

I need ID before like the 17th or so of June.. I won't be able to get the ball rolling until the 29th (yay. life).. anyone know which is more likely to arrive faster, a provisional licence, or a citizen card?

I know its said that citizen cards work in London, but does anyone have any experience with them?

I would say the citizen card but sometimes DVLA can post stuff out rather quickly! When my wallet was stolen last year and I had to buy another license it arrived in a week when they told me it would take three.

Do you not have a passport you could use? :(

Passports are being done VERY quickly right now. It only took a week for my mum to get hers through the post office system, and mine took 2 weeks not using the post office.

Citizen cards are iffy at best, but then I'm not in London. Most places I know of, and have worked in, will only accept a passport or a (full) driving licence, no provisionals and no ID cards, even if the government do tout them.

I don't know if clubs here in Birmingham accept citizen cards. Always passport or provisional or full drivers license.

Citizen card I would say is iffy so I'd go for a drivers license.

Where are you going?

citizen card is totally legit and saves you walking around with a passport if you cant get a drivers license' some places may try to refuse them but you can report them for that.

Establishments are only "advised" to accept them. As far as I am aware there is nothing in law to say they have to accept an endorsed ID with the PASS logo. A lot of places I know won't even accept a provisional driving licence.

Just to warn you, I work at a bar and we only accept driving license or passport as proof of ID. Sorry I can't help anymore but noticed that someone mentioned a citizen card, which are ok in some places but not in others.
