I'm finishing attack on titan today hopefully, just 3 more episodes left. It has been really good, a bit overhyped but definitely one of my favourites. I'm even more excited to be going to the exhibit in Japan now!

The episode of the magical boy anime that aired yesterday was truly something to behold. Seriously each week this anime gets more and more ridiculous and hilarious, I genuinely couldn't stop laughing!

Might be fun to follow Attack on Titan up with Akame ga Kill if you haven't watched it already. I wouldn't necessarily say that they're the same, but they have some similar undertones that make me put them in the same category. I liked Akame ga Kill a bit more, but Attack on Titan was certainly a great show.

Also you're really making me want to start watching that magical boy anime. I'm already watching so many that I'm getting more behind every week, but I'm still tempted to try to fit that one in somewhere, lol.

I would definitely recommend it, but only if you can see it for what it really is. In no way is it trying to be serious, it is 100% parody and it knows it. It takes common anime tropes, especially those from magical girl anime and blatantly makes fun of them. It is silly, ridiculous, and makes fun of itself and other series and has no qualms in stepping over lines and pushing boundaries. I definitely think it's one of those series you will either love to death or hate with a burning passion. There is no in between haha.

I love it though.

I think part of me just looks forward to seeing how far they take things each week haha.

I just know started these two and there pretty fantastic f you like dark things and can deal with some blood then Tokyo Ghoul and Death Parade are very good choices. Plus Tokyo Ghoul just came out with a second season.

Death Parade is fantastic! There is sometimes more emotional depth to characters that are only in one episode of this show than some series give to characters that appear in every episode. Plus the OP is so darn catchy. If anyone wants a laugh go and watch the official video to Flyers by BRADIO on youtube. It is just glorious.

I've said it before but i'm having very mixed feeling about Tokyo Ghoul season 2. I loved the first season but season 2 is just not going how I expected it to, I haven't read the manga but according to people i know who have read it, despite the creators saying they were taking it in a completely different direction apparently they keep adding bits and pieces of the manga, but then drastically changing other parts to the point where a lot of people just don't know what's going on anymore.

Also the animation. Jeez how can a series that has a keyboard that looks this beautiful and realistic.

also produce this crap

Yeah, I've been noticing the particularly bad spots in that anime. I'm kind of trying to assume the story will make up for it, but I'm not really sure what's going on anymore anyways. It left off on a pretty bad spot last time I watched. I'm having some trouble keeping up with everything I'm watching anymore, so I'm trying to prioritize the more important shows. I should be able to catch up with everything this weekend, though.

This season is crazy with as many shows as there are to watch O.o

Has anyone found anything else super interesting to watch?

I'm back from Japan! I absorbed so much anime stuff whilst I was out there. From all the merch I found to the manga stores, the animate cafes I went to, the different anime events that were being held all around Tokyo. It was such a good trip! I even got to watch some series I'm following as they were airing which was different haha. I also watched the Haikyuu!! Nekoma OVA out there and despite my limited Japanese I managed to follow it pretty well. I loved it! Nekoma are my favourite team so to have a whole episode devoted to them was perfect for me :)

Now I have to catch up on everything I missed over the last 2 weeks haha

I'm currently watching Fullmetal Alchemist, my boyfriend recently got me into it and I didn't know what I was missing!

I love Al, he's my favourite. ^_^

Oh man, I'd love to go to Japan someday. Their culture is just awesome. I'm not sure that I can think of a place I'd like to go more.

Also yeah, Fullmetal Alchemist is pretty awesome. I still haven't watched Brotherhood for some reason, but the first season was definitely pretty good. Somewhat cliche some of the time, but they do it well, so no complaints for me. Definitely kept me entertained the whole way through.

I need to really watch more anime. I used to watch it all the time but stopped as I got a job. xD

I think the last series I watched was Attack on Titan, but I loved it so much I just couldn't stop watching it. Now I can't wait for the third series to come out. ^_^

Also watched Penguindrum a few summers ago. It was really strange... But I wanna watch it again soon.

They're making Attack on Titan live action movies. It looks pretty good from the small clips that have been released so far!

http://kotaku.com/our-first-look-at-...ion-1692283239

There's a video in this article with the clips, if you're interested

Speaking on live action whilst in Japan I saw loads of advertisements and promos for the assassination Classroom live action movie that comes out in a few days. I am actually so excited for this one. It looks incredible. I can't remember if i've talked about Assassination Classroom here yet, but if you're looking for a new series to watch I would highly recommend it. It's currently airing and only 9 episodes in I think so there's not much to catch up on, but it's one of my new favourites.

I don't know if I like the idea of a live action film for Attack on Titan. It's been spoken about for a while and there's actually two coming out...

The poster for one is awful as it isn't even accurate! The titan is WAY taller than the wall, when in the manga AND the anime his head pops above it.

I finished Fullmetal Alchemist the weekend and I loved it so much. :)

I'm going to start watching Date A Live next. Has anyone watched it before?

See I don't really mind when different adaptations change things. The main story will be the same but honestly if characters change or the way the story is told is different e.t.c I really don't mind at all. In fact I prefer it like that because if it were literally exactly the same why would I want to watch it?

There's going to be 7 new characters and Levi isn't in the movie, but again I don't really mind, I know a lot of people really love his character though so are pretty upset about it.

I think it'll be okay though, I mean Isayama has been heavily involved with the movies and making the story alongside the director.

It's also been a great week for sports anime fans. Haikyuu!! is getting 2 movies and we got a release date for season 2 and Yowapeda is also getting a movie, an original story as well not just a compilation!! Also at the Free! seiyuu event a prequel movie based on High Speed was announced, plus a High Speed manga and another 2 more seiyuu events were announced meaning there's going to be a lot more Free! in the future

So Death Parade is over. Wow. I've got to say, I enjoyed that one quite a lot. Definitely unique. If you haven't watched it, just go ahead and go for it. I'd say it's worth a watch for just about anyone.
