I am currently:
Finding a job that is a good "fit."

I've been having a difficult time finding a job that suits me. I have depression/anxiety issues, and it's just very difficult to find a fricking job where I live. I'm in the US, a college town, and my therapist has other clients that are having a hard time finding jobs too. I'm not stupid...I have a degree from a great University. I feel like my anxiety is preventing me from applying and/or getting positions that I want.

I feel like I can't do anything correctly. I feel like a failure.

PS: I'm 29.

Hi there - would it be possible to get some treatment for your depression and anxiety, if you're not already? CBT can be really helpful for challenging anxious thoughts and behaviours and medication can help with depression and anxiety too.

If that doesn't work, and help you feel more confident with work, maybe trying to create a job that would suit you might be an idea. For example, I really struggle with verbal interaction with people, so am considering starting my own business in a career where I wouldn't have to do so much verbal interaction, but still be able to enjoy my work.

What sort of job do you think you might be interested in doing?

PS. Sorry, just re-read and seen you are seeing a therapist :)
