Med Fatigue
I take trazedone and seroquel...a LOT of seroquel. I have trouble getting up and staying awake, even at work which is effecting my stance as an employee. I called my doctor and asked if I could try some 5 Hour Energy (as recommended by my supervisor) but she said it was a bad combination. I asked her if she had any alternative ideas and she also said no. I do coffee, of course, and other caffeinated beverages but I'm still miserable. Anybody else have ideas for extreme medication-induced fatigue?
Thanks!

Are the medications new? How long have you been on them and how long have you had the tiredness? Has anything else changed recently? Other than the tiredness, have you been feeling ok?

Also, as said, DON'T change either your med dose of the time you've taken them until after this gas been discussed with a doctor and if you want to come off them then also please discuss this with a doctor before you do anything.

Are you on the standard version or the slow release (it will say XR on the pack) of quetiapine? The tiredness is slightly better on the slow release version.
Other than that when I was on quetiapine I found that taking it at the same time at night helped with the tiredness feeling and generally getting up in the morning. If I took it later than normal I would feel worse during the next day.

Just to inform people, we are no way saying that the user should for on the modified release (XR) form. These, though often cause less drowsiness to many people, don't always make a difference and on top of that may not be suitable for the the user

I started taking Seroquel XR maybe 5 years ago and eventually switched to regular to help me sleep. The problem is once I started that, after a couple years I began growing a tolerance to the dose. I went from 50mg to 900mg and had to add trazedone to make me sleep, including melatonin but taking all of that is what makes me so tired in the morning. I already take it at like 730pm and am usually asleep before 9pm but that doesn't help.

Can you look at may've not taking them all and seeing if you can still sleep or changing them? Really that's all we can suggest and you need to discuss with a doctor before stopping or changing any of the meds that you're on or it can cause a lot of problems and in some cases can make people extremely unwell.
