Trazodone?
My psych has put me on it, starting tonight (150mg).
If anybody has any experiences of it then I'd be grateful to hear them; positive or negative.
Thank you.

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

My doc had me on trazadone for a while. Not as and antidepressant, but as a sleep aid. I can't comment on the A\D qualities but it worked wonders for sleep.

I take it. It helps with my anxiety and I sleep great on it.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

Hello, I have been on it for a week, 50 mg.
I take it for sleep, I fall asleep in 20 mins!
no idea on how it's going to affect my depression yet.
edit:
I have a lot more nightmares and night terrors and sleep talking after starting this, though. also, I feel dizzy easier than before I took it.

Yeah I think those are common side effects. I struggle with diziness.

A psych who just wanted me drugged put me on this years ago, max dose along with quetiapine and diazepam. I had to go to bed half an hour after taking them or I'd fall asleep where I was. I was very woozy the next day too.
Saying that, if you're agitated or have insomnia it should work for you x
Take care

I've just been put back on it, I'm on 100mg at the moment. I've noticed that I've not had any nightmares since I've been on it and I actually sleep through the night now. The only thing that's ever bothered with me with it is that I wake up with a dry mouth in the morning.

I was on trazodone and found a higher dose kept me awake at night but fifty mg did pretty well for quite awhile.
I was told one that in order for trazodone to actually have an affect on depression, you'd have to be on such a high dose that you'd have to be hospitalized for several days and would be sedated.

Some fool put me on this after I came of mirtaz because it was too sedating... I can certainly vouch for its sedating properties- I was a zombie :P
But in all seriousness, I am very sensitive to sedatives, so I imagine it gives a normal person a reasonable level of drowsiness which would be helpful if you have sleeping issues.
Hope you find it helpful :)
