What?! That's ridiculous. There's nothing to fail there at all, and plenty more controversial things can be passed. I'd complain to the exam board and request another examiner, genuinely.

That is SHOCKING, there is no way that deserved a fail. I studied art and art history and that is above the level of school. It looks like a college piece. It just proves what i already know that to get by in life you need to conform to the people who think they know everything.
It became like a sort of prison. Encased in a silver shell, words so full of bleeding need spilled like drops on dry leaves. And all the while laughter prevailed a long way from here. Nowhere land, nowhere time, nowhere space.

I haven't studied art but I can't believe that failed either. It is like a professional poster you would see out in public places. Well screw the examiner, I hope you have enough belief in yourself and your piece to try not let it get you down. Im sure it has helped people on here, and if it helped you to make it and meant something to you, then you are already a winner, no matter what some examiner says.
I really, really, really like this piece. The portrayal of the body of the woman without the head makes it so impersonal that it could be anyone while the lack of clothes symbolize so much vulnerability. Well freaking done! I also like the ambiguity of the blue and yellow. The blue could mean sadness and depression but it also means strength and hope and the unlimited possibilities of the sky. Same goes for the yellow. The only improvements that could be made is the use of more aggressive colours such as reds and growth colours such as green to show that there is a life after and opportunity to live. Still. Job well done! I hope you put this in a place of honour and good luck on your results!! Mine come out on the 25th and im super duper nervous. Do let me know what you get for it!
I hope that that is put into a gallery where a lot of people can see so they can know what's going on and stuff it wonderful and I wish I could paint like that but I mostly do drawings or abstract :)
