So, here I am in my room barely able to move with the heat, and in the hall across from me they're doing their ZUMBA class!!!!!!! How can they even do that?!!!
They will end up cooler as they will be sweating and that brings down body temp!
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
Leave dogs in hot cars. That's a daft thing some people do in this weather.
Yes! It's a horrible thing. Only takes minutes to kill a dog that way. Did you hear about the Walmart employee in the USA that got the sack after confronting someone for doing this?

No I didn't.
I remember a few years ago when Nottingham police force killed a couple of police dogs that way though.
PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.
Yeah. Sunbathing = sun burn + heat stroke risk + skin cancer risk + feeling very hot and dehydrated. I'd rather not have much of a sun tan than be sunburt and have heat stroke. I do not understand why so many people go to the beach and sunbathe in the summer. Sand is horrid stuff and sunbathing is dangerous. In the summer, if I do go on a holiday (I don't like holidays so I rarely do), it is a colder country. If I am at home, I avoid direct sunlight where possible. I have thermoregulatory dysfunction anyway.

I actually enjoy sunbathing, I find the warmth coupled with a good book or a crossword extremely relaxing. As long as there's a bit of a breeze or a swimming pool to cool off in I'm like a pig in brown stuff. I couldn't do it day after day when I am on holiday, but it is nice to spend a couple of days chilling by the pool :)
I totally agree that you have to be very careful in terms of ensuring that you don't burn though, and do apply suncream quite liberally and regularly - Some people are pretty daft when it comes to taking such precautions (or not). I am also in agreement about sand... horrible stuff, it sticks you and gets everywhere!
And as for leaving dogs to perish in hot cars... those people should be shot imo.
I tried to sunbathe to see what it was like, when I was 16. I did it on a beach. I ended up taking an Anatomy textbook and I had to prevent my textbook from being covered in sand, so I had to lie in a funny position. I never wear bikinis though, that would be humiliating; I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
The Anatomy textbook got some sand on it, I ended up dehydrated even though I was drinking water. My prescription sunglasses weren't dark enough so I had a headache from the brightness of the place. I couldn't bring my noise-cancelling headphones as I was afraid of getting them wet, so I had to deal with some annoying kids making noise. Overall, it went badly and I never sunbathed again.
I saw a lot of people, mostly women, who were lying on towels, sunbathing with their eyes closed. Firstly, that's a good way to get heat stroke, and secondly, I would be so bored doing that! I would end up solving equations in my head or formulating a hypothesis about the Universe or quantum physics.....
I can see that people like sunbathing (as so many do it), but I don't understand why.
This summer I am living in my bedroom with the windows open but the curtains closed. I don't like the sun shining, it is too bright.

My younger stepbrother got sent home yesterday because he didn't have a written note from a parent to ask for permission to not wear his sweatshirt, and he didn't put it back on for the lesson directly after PE. I wish I was joking.
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
I work in a gym and I believe the gym, the supermarket and the cinema are the coolest of places which means exercising in this heat is so nice...yay for aircon
Life can be beautiful if you let it.
Step back, breathe and take it in
