Thanks Hun it just feels so hard an I have heard horror stories of mother and baby foster plAcements which worries me .. Glad things are goin in the right direction for you .. How Much contact would you be getting z
Don't listen to the horror stories. It's like when you are pregnant and everyone decides to tell you their labour horror stories!
If you are offered a mum and baby foster placement then take it! As long as it means you get to stay with your little one, then it can't be all that bad.
I wish they would have considered that for me!
I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!
apax the residnetal placement im in now was meant to be my only chance but peopple must think i am a good mum to be saying the fp but its just the other girl here said that she went to one with her first child and it broke down and that she lost her child which wasnt a very helpful thing to be saying i guess we will see i just go to show them in the next 3 weeks..
least im feeling better pyshcially today and theres a trip out today to see the wax work figures ..
so often we dont get given a chance .. i know i can do this i do..
you are a good mum lovely :)
she sounds like she had a bad experience with a foster placement, but on the other hand, i have heard very good things about them. I suppose it depends on the person. She could have had very different circumstances or maybe is not telling you the whole story.
As long as you continue to be a good mum, like you are, things shouldn't go against you :)
I hope you have fun today. It's good to get out :)

thanx hun ... i know deep down im a good mum .. sumtimes so hard 2 belive.. had a nice time.. but upset her never meant 2 needed her...could b in trouble...
I think it's pretty normal to not think you're a good mum tbh. A lot of mums i've spoken to (who don't have mh problems) have said at least once that they don't think they are a good mum for some reason or another. like if their babies won't eat or are ill etc

Cutting milk out of my diet made a huge difference to Poppy :) She is like a different baby. Also she slept for 5 hours last night! After that she went back to the feeding every 30-60 minutes but those were a damn good 5 hours :D
You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
Yeah. I loved it but the moby wrap is a bit impractical so I am hoping to get a connecta integra. Also I just found out I got a first in my dissertation so this is turning out to be a damn good day! :D
How are you Sam?

So pleased things are getting better Katy! And very well done on your dissertation! :D
I'm not sure if you're talking about slings. But I have a babasling http://www.chummymummies.co.uk/wp-co...aSlingways.jpg
And its great. I used it when Jasmine was tiny and she would just fall asleep, and I used it on the weekend to walk down to tesco with Jasmine and its great! She sat in it like the one in the purple.

When I first was looking I considered that one but I don't really like pouch style ones because I wanted one which spread her weight more evenly because I already have back and hip pain a lot so don't want any added stress!

I'm feeling a lot better thanks, just exhausted! Everything is tiring!
Jasmine was really grumpy today! She was having mini toddler tantrums and pushing and kicking everything away, but I actually found it quite cute :P
she also shakes her head a lot when I ask her things. she can nod too, but prefers to shake her head. cheeky madam!

Ugh I thought we turned a corner with the crying, but Gideon is worse than ever :(
We have had the WORST luck recently, our basement flooded, our sewage backed up in the basement, our furnace died on the coldest days of the month so far, our hot water heater crapped out, my cars engine light is on, our electrics went out, we basically have no money at all, and now we got a letter from the city asking for almost $2000 that we don't have, its for property taxes but we thought we were paying property taxes on our mortgage so not sure whats going on there. And the government still wants another $600 for money they gave me when I first got here n was unemployed and I have to prove I was entitled to it or pay it back with interest. but all my paperwork is gone as this was over 3 years ago :(
I'm just having a really bad time of it, and my hubby keeps getting on me about getting things done because im home all day, n I don't think he understands how hard it is to do anything with Gideon crying all the time :( And with all the money issues I just want to curl up in a ball n forget about everything...
I found the moby wrap brilliant, what are you finding impractical about it? I even went bowling with a 21 day old ella strapped to me. I never tried the back carries but i used it as a sling, newborn hug hold, forward and backwards hug hold, lotus hold.

The only hold I can get to grips with at the moment is the kangaroo hold everything else I have tried she hated and struggled against but with that I can't take her in and out and leave it on because I have to untie most of it and I don't like having to struggle with masses of fabric dragging on the floor just so I can get her out to feed and change her. I have been trying to figure out a way to feed in it but not having much success with that either! She is still feeding every hour it would be so good if I could feed her in this and I might actually get something done! I think I will like it more when she is a bit bigger and has better head and neck control.

my LO has only had 2 bottles today and sicked them both up and slept the whole day :( hes meant to be having his second jabs tomoro :( feel like a useless mum that i cant do anything right x
The newborn hug hold is similar to kangaroo, try it halfway through a feed, ella loved it. As soon as you're in position start feeding aagain, positive association.
