Are there any reborn artists or collectors on here?

i recently "adopted" my first boy and im now hooked.

for anyone who doesnt know what a reborn is they are dolls that look and are weighted like real babies. Each one is one of a kind ( o.o.a.k) due to how they are hand painted

they are amazing!!

so does anyone have one?

I was a little bit freaked out by them but I find dolls quite freaky anyways.

Umm I find it rather creepy tbh. But at the end of the day it makes you happy and it's a lot healthier than getting drunk every night.

I have a question aimed at pingu and lottybear, I'll just preface it by saying that if my question is in any way offensive/inappropriate then please disregard, I was wondering if owning the dolls was more to have a collection of dolls, or more having an emotional connection with the dolls?

I was just curious :) It seems like there's a hell of a lot of craftsmanship that goes into some of the dolls, the attention to detail is quite impressive.

I have a thing about dolls of any kind - realistic or not. Can't stand the things! I'm afraid they may get posessed or something. And I'm not a fan of real babies in the first place.

The detail on the dolls is astounding though, they do intrigue me. Must take a very steady hand in painting them and a lot of research and patience!

I think they are gougus and it gives me a good excuse to buy baby clothes lol. Also because they are weighted i find it incredibly relaxing to curl up with one of them while reading a book
Bridges don't worry about offending me I'm very easy going .
Lotte they say that because of how they are painted every reborn is an o.o.a.k even if you use the same paints and kit they all come out slightly different .

I think reborns are amazing, in that the detail and thought that goes into making them is amazing.

But I find them a bit creepy and wouldn't want one.

Although they are not as creepy as those baby masks Jack!

I think they are beautiful.
But.
I wouldn't have one because I absolutely know it wouldn't be healthy for me - I am childless and middle aged, and also have emotional difficulties stemming from babyhood. I know lots of people who would be very concerned about me if I got one.
