Weird Dreams

As most of you might know, a lot of anti-psychotics have a side effect of strange and perculier dreams. when i first started my Quetiapene one of my dreams was where i was 'phatom of the cinema' where i chased people off my escalator :P

So whats the weirdest dream you have ever had?

I had a weird dream recently, these horrible creatures were chasing me around an old, dark castle and just as they got close to me I stopped dead and said out loud "oh I'm dreaming, I'll just wait to wake up".

Then I sat on the floor and the creatures sat down too, and we were all just waiting for me to wake up, all the scared feelings instantly left and we all just sat like we were waiting at a bus stop or something

I'm on meds but don't dream often. When I do it's pretty vivid, not sure what the weirdest is, but go through periods of sleep paralysis and hypnogogic(?) stuff, like I once saw Barney the dinosaur yelling 'jazzy feet jazzy feet jazzy feet'. And once heard two women in my room arguing about the best way to roast a chicken.

I dont dream so much now....but in the past ive been skiing behind a train, then climbing on the top and running away from people.

Shopping from a boat which is floating down the high street and ive been walking in the hills of mongolia and seen multi-coloured llamas.

There was also a building, where there was a door that led to a beautiful room that only i had access to. If there was a threat of people wanting to get me i could run to a different door that only i was aware of and the enemy would run to the top of the building with no hope of being able to find me

I have gone back to the olden days, stamping out a smouldering message id hidden itn my pocket..dark dank walls and flame torches on the walls for light. I was wearing a long brown skirt. To be honest i have trouble whether it was a dream or from my past

I had to write my dreams down as part of therapy several years ago

I'm on quetiapine too and get VERY strange and vivid dreams. I've always had weird dreams but seems worse with certain meds.

I've had a few dreams about getting chased by killer robots.

It could be from my AD, or my very strange mind.

I know my unconscious pretty well, having worked with my dreams for many years, so generally my dreams aren't too 'weird' as they make sense to me! I've also always dreamed really vividly, however I was on phenargan nightly right into my teens due to sinus stuff so that could have had an effect..

I however did have some extra intense ones on venlafaxine, and also any time I eat any kind of mushrooms [you know, the regular ones from the supermarket!].

One time in recent months, I dreamed that I was travelling to Japan. But the only way to get there was in some kind of time-space continuum, and we ended up travelling through this vortex in space, just so we could get to Japan. I remember being worried we couldn't breathe because we'd be in space where there's no oxygen, like that's the first kind of legit response...

Another time I dreamed me and my friends travelled to China on an open-topped upside down train.

Another time I dreamed I was a pregnant lion who was really sad, because I was wearing a party hat and none of the other lions were, so they made fun of me.

Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world awaits in darkness for the light that is you.

When I was little I used to have a dream that I kept inflating like a balloon and floating over a pirate rock band...

I was an odd child.

Thanks to partaking in a thread in fun and distractions, last night I had a dream I was in the film "Mean Girls".

I dream about flying a lot, but then there is some kind of danger where I need to fly away but then I struggle to fly.

I'm not on any meds but last night I had a dream my neighbors had giant dogs and they wanted me to walk them. They kept getting bigger and bigger until I couldn't control them and they were just pulling me along. Unrelated to the dogs, the weirdest part of the dream was that I just gotten out of jail, although it wasn't really clear why I was in jail.

I've had multiple strange dreams both on and off meds! Way more than I can recall at this present moment - I really should start writing them down.

One I did write down though included being trapped in Tesco's because there was a gang outside racist to people with blue skin.
...

Since beginning Sertraline I've had some freaky 'fake' lucid dreams where I thought I knew I was dreaming, but I really didn't.

I had this dream since childhood. One short thin man, wearing a white shirt, white pants, having a short mustache, used to chase me. I used to run from him and he used to laugh and say "one day I'll catch you buddy!". It was so horrible experience I can't let you imagine! That dream used to come for years. One day I met a man who looked just like that man from my dream. He smiled at me wickedly. After that day I didn't see that dream again. That was about my weird dream which I lived in reality also!

I had a dream the other day where I bought a KitKat chunky and won a competition to be adopted by the monarchy and accidentally became Queen. I believe I said the words 'Lolzorz, off with their heads!' when everyone was like 'wtf, we can't have a Queen who wears dungarees and has a wife!' and then skipped around a courtyard with my girlfriend wearing a sparkly crown.

As I usually have night terrors, it was a wonderful dream to have.

Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
