Bipolar hypomania and compulsion to write things down

Pretty much the title.. when I am in an hypomania state.

I seem to have a compulsion of writing things down lately, keeping up with what is planned, what I have done, what I am doing, any good ideas... as I can't keep up with myself. I guess just to keep up with my trail of thought.

Does anyone else relate? is this a bipolar trait?

I have dyslexia so please excuse my poor spelling and sometimes poor understanding.

Yep. I make a list everyday anyway but when I'm more manic I write lists all day generally in 100's. For example my 100 favourite TV programmes/films/songs etc. You are certainly not alone. Also sometimes when I'm agitated I can't settle down or sleep until I've written down the things in my head.

Another member here sticking hand up saying yes i do this. I often put it into creative writings, poetry or it comes out as forced pages of writing, it can be hard to keep up with the speed of my head.
