Greetings earthlings!
As I'm sure you've spotted by now, today is self injury awareness day, and we on the Community Team got together and decided that this year we wanted to encourage you to get creative and make your own self-injury awareness bracelets. There are a variety of such bracelets and wristbands already available, but making your own has the added benefit of being a good distraction!
The first design is one that you'll find in the
March 2012 edition of the ezine. If you flick through the first few pages you'll get to the instructions for making hemp bracelets, and you could use orange string and/or beads to make it SIAD-themed.
The second design is a simple friendship bracelet design:
which is hopefully explained vaguely clearly in
this MPG, made for today by Jenna (Narcissa) and Jodie (Bellatrix).
Linking it via my blog to avoid youtube's rather unsavoury recommendations for further viewing!
If you do make yourself an SIAD bracelet, either from one of these designs or one of your own, we'd love to see them on the
SIAD picture thread
Hope you have a pleasant Friday!
Jenna, Jodie, Tay and Amy and the Community Team
And with thanks to monket, for the tutorial in the ezine.
