Yesterday I finished reading Dubliners by James Joyce and started reading The Poor Mouth by Flann O Brien. Fun fact: he wrote the book in Irish, then translated it into English and back into Irish before getting it published. And then in the 1970s it was translated back into English. So it's a translation of a translation of a translation. And it's absolutely hilarious.

Gave up on previous book, again, finding it hard to find something I want to read at the moment.
Now reading Diagnosis: Dispatches from the Frontlines of Medical Mysteries - Lisa Sanders.
She's the technical advisor to the show House.

I finished reading The Poor Mouth this morning. It was insane and hilarious. At some point this week I'll need to get started on Country Girls by Edna O Brien and/or Oedipus Rex by Sophocles.

Currently reading The Country Girls by Edna O Brien. I feel misled - I was told that this was a really nice, innocent, coming-of-age story. Maybe it is, but it's pretty bloody grim so far. Still, I'm enjoying it.
